I spoke with the NVC on the 7th of Aug and they stated I have been forwarded to the Embassy. My question is do they send a letter stating they did?

Or does the Embassy send a letter or call or e-mail me stating they got it? What am I waiting for?

you should get something on the update - voice thing. and something in wrting.
it dont matter. how about start tracking the diplomatic pouch. people that are obsessed track the DHL shipments. so in the mean time kick back til your SO get a packet from the embassy.

I recieved a letter from NVC that my petition was recieved and it includes what embassy will be handling the application. The only thing is that my petition has already reached the embassy b/4 i recieved the letter.

How do you get a DHL tracking number? I asked for DHL tracking number, NVC employee told me that they don't provide tracking number.

we called the consulate and found out our interview date way before we got the letter from NVC ( think it was two weeks before we got letter from nvc)

hi gomez, you will get a letter in the mail from NVC stating that your petition will be forwarded to the consulate in manila... Just for reference sake, i found out that NVC sent out my petition August2 and I received my letter on monday or tuesday august 7 or 8. The date on the letter said August3. give it a week and you will receive the letter in the mail

second, just to let you know that i called last week and spoke to someone in the immigrations unit from the US Embassy in manila and they said that they were still waiting for the physical files of my case although the electronic version of the file has been forwarded to them by the NVC. I also asked what i should be expecting afterwards and how long it will take before they could set up an interview for my fiance. What the nice lady told me was to call after a month (hehe im calling this sunday) and most likely they will have everything ready and perhaps the packet 4 sent out within or around that timeframe. She also mentioned that my fiance will receive packet 4 which contains all information that he will need, including visa interview date, forms to be filled out and the like. In the same manner, i will receive a letter in the US stating that the packet has been sent out to my fiance as a notification.
