OMIGOSH -- I can totally relate to you about calling the Consulate in New Delhi -- if I could meet that switchboard operator somethere, I'd like to exchange a few words with him. I hit the redaial button 5 times a minute for 90 mimutes and the phone was either busy or nobody would pick up. ARGH!!!
However, my wife got through after about 30 minutes from India. She dialed 2419-8062 and 2419-08274 (same desk) and finally go through. The experience was pretty nice after that for her and she got her questions answered.
Good luck and let us know what happened...

My fiance calls me at 2 in the morning, saying that he's at the VFS office trying to pay the courier fee, and those idiots wouldn't accept it even after explaning everything to them that he has received this interview letter by hand on 8/10 after 2pm(indian time) so, obv. VFS offices closes at 2 and how the hell was he suppose to pay the fees when your freaking offices are close.
