All this information and I can not find out how much the fees are for the Visa process. I know their are medical exam fees but can anyone from Peru tell me how much and what other costs there are after the $170.00 I-129f filing fee? Also, does the Peruvian consulate require that documents such as original berth certificate be translated in to English? Thanks

The medical exam at the doctor in Lima is $95.00 and the interview fee is $100.00, payable at Banco Continental. There are other fees after the visa is approved (EAD, AOS, AP). ALl spanish documents must have a certified english translation. They usually accept a short form translation (shows only relevant information) for the birth certificate.

Since you are dealing with a Visa granted by the US Government on a K-1 Visa then you will not have any dealings with the Peruvian Consulate at all. It will be the US Consulate that will give you instructions of where to go and what to do and what documents to obtain. There are the given visa fees for the K-1 Visa, but then there are also other expenses. For example if you need to get copies of birth certificates, devorce decrees, death certificates, marriage licences of prior marriages, the police certificates, and immunization records and shots--these can add to the cost. There are some cost that are fixed while others depend. Don't forget you will need to get evidence of the relationship so you will need copies of photos, correspondence, etc. You will need to have passport style photos taken and this is an expense. Further the various sites such as medical exam office, police and judicial centers, and the US Embassy are spread out so you will have the expenses of taxi or bus. You might have the expense of using DHL, UPS, or FedEx etc.
