hi,
i also got touched at the same time (August 7 the latest) and we've got the same NOA2 date of approval. perhaps, it's on the way to NVC, God's willing I hope our case will be sent to our respective embassies.
take care,

Well add me to the club...I guess we'll all be in the same box together...
I just called NVC and got through on my 3rd attempt. The operator was SUPER nice.
BUT gave me the standard answer(it could take up to 4 weeks blah blah blah...)
At least he was compassionate in the way he disappointed me

Hey J, I don't know what happened - I was touched yesterday but had rec'd my NOA2 notice on Aug 5. They told me mine was sent Friday & I called today & it was definitely sent to London then. So who knows what these touches mean???
I suggest everyone call the NVC & follow up!

Oh my Gosh!!!!! i spoke to someone at the CSC about why are we being touched and we are approved...she was going on about we don't have it when we approve it...then she went on the say that it is being sent to the embassy....so i asked her when did they change it from going to the NVC? she replied with...we've never sent fiancee petitions to NVC....aaaahhh i just wanted to scream..she was acting so dumb and it wasn't getting anywhere.

Wow.... people are a little grumpy, aren't they???
I would assume the touch is from them sending the paperwork to the NVC, yes.

Well, mine was approved on the 7/21 and got touched on 7/22 and NVC received 7/27.... as you can see in my timeline !!!! I had read it somewhere that CSC don't send files straight to the EMBASSY any longer.. but yeah WHEN I CALLED THE NVC THEY SAID THEY DON'T KEEP THE K-1 THERE FOR MORE THAN WEEK....
GOOD LUCK !!!!!

Hi, Yesterday I called the embassy in Manila. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and said the Embassy had access to NVC data base so she looked up our case and gave me the case number. She said we were approved on July 28th even though our NOA2 says July 31st. She also told me NVC just got our case yesterday even though NVC Auto reply said they did not have it. I called the NVC today and NVC said they just received the packet today July 8th. I also was touched today for the first time since July 31st. I have heard they only hold the packet for about 2 days and then it is forwarded to the embassy as long as it passes a background check number 2 of 3. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Sounds like we are all having the same thing happen, being touched after approval means that it is being shipped to NVC.
Hope you all get quick interviews at the embassy!!1

Ok I posted this somewhere else but I can't remember where....
I too was touched on August 7th. I may have been touched before that but I wasn't checking. I figured once I got the NOA2 that they wouldn't update anymore on their site so I wasn't checking. I am hoping that means that they sent the paperwork to NVC.

yeah it does cause i was touched the 7th and 8th and i called today and was told that the papers had arrived at the NVC on the 7th...strange i thought that we would never need to use the touch line after CSC?

I called NVC on 08/09 and was told the application had been received on 08/07/2006. Just checked USCIS site and was last touched on 08/07/2006.

Interesting. I received a touch August 7 as well. When I got thru last night to NVC they told me they still have not received the package. I got the approval letter last Friday, I didn't think it would take much longer for the documents to arrive... Maybe they are taking scenic route to NVC? Hmmm...

I rang the USCIS and asked about the mystery touches after NOA2's, they told me it was them moving the petitions out the door!!! I rang the NVC this morning and they recieved our K-3!!! Good luck everyone!

I was touched the day after approval and the NVC received my petition 4 days after approval.
Blessings and good tidings to everyone here in the process!

So what is it exactly that they DO do with the K-1 petitions at NVC? Do they run checks on the beneficiary? From the info I found on this forum it appears that all they do is enter the K-1 case into their database and mail it to the embassy.. Does anyone have a definite answer or maybe can point to the source of info?
Thanks
