I've read before about some people going to the consulate and getting their packet 3 or 4. So I would call there and ask if your fiancee could stop and pick up Packet 4.

Call the consulate and have them send a copy of your packet to St Luke's. If your Appt is Aug 16, your medical is probably scheduled for this week.

justin728jn,

Call the US Consulate in HCMC as soon as possible and explain the exact same details to them. Your fiancee will need the p.4 appointment letter for the medical exam and MRV payment at Citibank, so get on this quick!

i told my fiancee to call them if she could pick up p4, but she was hesitated to call because the woman who answered the phone was rude. Last time she called to ask about p4, the woman said with a raised tone, "just wait for it in the mail and STOP calling..." it's not like my fiancee call them 5 times a day or something, in fact it was the first time she call to ask about p4. these vietnamese staffs are out of control.

P4 is not that important if you have all the required forms filled out and ready to turn in. I think some one posted a the info here in this forum and last time I compared with the one my fiancee received recently is about the same. Wish you and your fiancee the best of luck. justin728jn,

I think it is fair to call again and explain the quickly closing gap of time for your interview date. Perhaps skipping the phone call all together and just showing up at the Consulate in HCMC might be a better plan of action.

Menyoo,

If I'm not mistaken, as I said in my earlier post to justin728jn, I believe that the appointment letter sent in P.4 is needed for the medical exam (ours was stamped by IOM if I remember right) and MRV payment at Citibank. While not so important for documentation gathering, the medical exam and MRV receipt are both on the required documents list in P.4.

Our packet 3 that was originally mailed to my fiancee's Can Tho address never arrived. Had I not called the Consulate about this, we'd still be waiting if we listened to their advice and "just wait for it in the mail and STOP calling..."

Are you kidding me? Hesitate? Don't you let those vietnamese staffs mess with you, they are paid with your TAX dollars. Just mad when Vietnamese who works for foreigners in Vietnam think and act as if they are better than their own people, look down, abuse and disrepectful! Only vietnamese!!!

Please ask your honey to call them up again, this is nothing new. People call and pick up their P4 all the times. Vietnam Postal Services isn't the BEST there is... No P4, no interview. Simple!

Any update for us justin728jn? Has she received packet 4?
