I think it is fair to call again and explain the quickly closing gap of time for your interview date. Perhaps skipping the phone call all together and just showing up at the Consulate in HCMC might be a better plan of action.

If I'm not mistaken, as I said in my earlier post to justin728jn, I believe that the appointment letter sent in P.4 is needed for the medical exam (ours was stamped by IOM if I remember right) and MRV payment at Citibank. While not so important for documentation gathering, the medical exam and MRV receipt are both on the required documents list in P.4.

Our packet 3 that was originally mailed to my fiancee's Can Tho address never arrived. Had I not called the Consulate about this, we'd still be waiting if we listened to their advice and "just wait for it in the mail and STOP calling..."
