Hello All,

Trying to get everything prepared here, which Affidavit of Support Form do I need for a K1 Visa for the Cairo Embassy? I-864 or I-134? The I-134 doesnt provide much data on what evidence they want to see. Any suggestions?

Thanks

They'll send you all what you need in the packet. We attached 3 years worth of tax returns, and a letter from the bank for my cosponsors and I, but that was last year. I think they may only be needing 1 year now.

Thanks All.

Does anyone know how long it ususally takes from the day that Cairo Receives the K1, to the day we get the Visa?

Thanks!

It differs from person to person. Last year, our k-1 petition was approved beginning of April, received in Cairo end of April. The packet was received mid May. We turned it in mid June, got it returned due to a clerical error and because I write very persuasive emails, we got an interview 2 weeks later. However, after the interview, we were put on AP/AR. Most ME/NA men have some sort of administrative processing following their interview. We received the visa 1.5 months later.

Howeva, more recently, there have been longer waits for interviews and longer AP/AR times. As with everything in immigration, hope for the best, plan for the worst. If your file was just received in Cairo, you could be looking at 2 months to 8+ plus for everything to be over with.

Thanks for the Info. I will update my time line soon.

How fast do they send out Packet 3, and then Packet 4's?

Sorry for all the questions biggrin.gif

Could take anywhere from a week to over a month. TNT, the courier service in Egypt, to put it bluntly - sucks. They lost the first version of packet 3 for us, so it was delayed.

And, we never got a packet 4. Does cairo have a packet 4? Anyone who did it the normal way know?
