This time it's for the WHOLE shebang again. Last time it was just most recent tax returns. This time it's for the whole I-864 again. For those of you who weren't around the last time, it took us 2 months of phone calls, emails, and home visits to get that form filled out the first time. And that was when we were living only an hour away from him. Now we live 4 hours away and I have no idea how we're going to do it.
I've asked my parents several times to cosponsor us, I've asked my grandfather, I've asked my brother and sister, I've asked all of my friends who have jobs, and all have said no. His cousin was our only hope, and now we have to start all over again at a serious disadvantage. For the last RFE it took us over a month to get the tax return that we needed from him, and he was clearly pissed off at us, and my husband is so pissed off at him that he can't even stand to talk to him anymore.
We have until October 24th to come up with something. I'm thinking about sending in an I-864 just for me, with my current employment information (because I am finally working), and then waiting for the RFE for tax returns (I don't have tax returns from 2005 because I was in school). By the time the response for that RFE is due, I should be able to have my 2006 tax returns to send in, which will show enough income to qualify. But I'm worried that they'll think I haven't complied with their instructions and they'll just deny us.
I am seriously at my wit's end. On top of this I'm working 90 hours a week.
I know I'm kind of in a hopeless situation at this point, and I don't think that there's anything that can help me, but I just had to vent.
I miss you guys, I wish I had time for VJ, but my schedule doesn't let me do any more than peek in every once in a while.
Congratulations to all who have had recent good news!
