Hello everyone. I'm filling out the form for my husband's work authorization (I-765) and it asks for an alien reg or I-94 number. There are several numbers inside the passprort. There'sa long series of numbers at the bottom. And theres a number in red. I want to make sure that i fill out the form properly but I'm not sure which number is the I-94?

Is it the 8 digit number in red?

Thanks.

The I-94 number should be on the piece of paper that is stapled inside your husband's passport. I think it's the numbers in red.

In EAD form question# 10 asking for Alien Reg # or I-94 No.

In my K1 US visa sticker on my passport, below it printed like this:

Anotation
petitioner's name
city, state
Alien reg no. ( written as A#00000000 )----- on the opposite side-----> K1 VISA no. (00000000) red numbers

In my Korean AIR Departure Slip ( the small paper stapled in ur passport next to ur visa sticker) it shows there as .......

Departure Number
000000000 00 <---- ( consist of 11 nos.) <-------- those numbers are the I-94 numbers

Immigration & Naturalization Service
I-94
Departure Record

hope we have same US visa sticker given smile.gif so if im not mistaken .... dats how i answered it. When I filled-up AOS form, i choosed to have those form links that have sample encoded data's already that i could follow which is which in filling up forms.

do hope it helps... gudluck!

I realize that the I-94 is what is glued to my husband's passport. I'm just trying to confirm with certainty if the I-94 number is the set of numbers in red or the ones at the bottom.

My I-94 is white. I used the numbers directly underneath the words "Departure Number" 9 digits a space then 2 further digits. It is printed in black ink.

Hope this helps..........I recieved my EAD card in the mail this morning kicking.gif

S/B 11 digits printed across the top of the card.

EUREKA!! I just discovered why I couldn't find my husband's I-94. He doesn't have one.

His passport was stamped when he arrived but the customs/border patrol people didn't give him the white paper everyone is talking about. I was so confused. It just turns out that the customs agents made a mistake (I hope).

According to USCIS, we can still file the EAD w/out the I-94 number. But in the meantime, we will have to follow up with customs and/or USCIS to get an I-94. Thanks for the assistance and all of the replies. It helped me realize that there was something wrong. No I-94.
