To those who are receiving benefits from EI using only the I-94 and K-1 visa, on the EI cards question 4 on back, do you still check "no" with explanation of "waiting for DHS authorization"? That's strange that they would pay EI without your EAD, but hey, I'm trying it anyway smile.gif I started receiving cards, and I haven't even sent my ROE yet. (still waiting for it). So as soon as I get it, I'm sending that along with I-94 and photocopy of K-1 visa, and we'll see what happens.

Have a nice day all!!!

I also received a separate letter saying information was needed, and one of the questions is "do you have a working visa issued by the Gov't of the US, authorizing you to accept employment in the States" and to send required photocopies. I guess I should check no on that and maybe give an explanation that I'm waiting for DHS authorization. My I-94 may not work then sad.gif Just might not work for me, ay??

I wish I had made a copy of how I filled out that letter! sad.gif

See the last page of this, it might help.

Thanks Canuck Carrie!! I see from the post you sent that Zyggy sent his I-94 and photocopy of Visa with that letter. I'm wondering if he checked yes or no for the question on if he had a working visa!! And like you said, ready, willing and capable, just not allowed biggrin.gif
