I filed the K1 for my wife back in May. Received the NOA1 with receipt number. I am able to login at the ucis website and check the status on that.

Since then I filed the K3 to CSC and received NOA1 with receipt number on that - MSC-XX-XXX-XXXXX

How do you check the status of the K3? I attempted to add this to my USCIS online portfolio but it does not accept this NOA receipt number. I tried calling and using the automated system and it does not recognize this receipt number that I received back on July 19.

I went through the FAQ's and Guides and even searched for K3 status updates and can't seem to find how how people are doing this? I see a lot of folks posting touches and so on, how do you know?

Would appreciate some guidance on this.

Thanks
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Hey we were married in Cebu on april 26th!!! Anyway...you should be able to enter the receipt number the same way you did for the I-130 and add to your portfolio and check status...we had no problem with that....you can try calling back using your I-130 receipt number and then talk to an service person about the I-129f not being on the system.

Hi Jazzy,

Congrats! I will follow up by phone tomorrow during regular hours. I got in too late form work today and all I could get was automated line. Hopefully I can get a live person tomorrow and get this k3 receipt added to the system so I can check status online. Thanks

I'll pm you

Stephen

I just spoke with a rep at USCIS and he assured me that my case was in the system but said that it may take another 2 weeks before I can check status online or by phone. He said our cases are usually not available by automated or online systems until a person has entered the petition into the online automated system.

I have receipt date of July 19, he asked me to check back in 2 weeks if I am still unable to check status.

I just wanted to FYI you all in case someone else has this same issue.

have a great day,
Stephen

I was confused when I read your post to begin with, but after seeing your timeline, I understand what you want to say. You need to replace the reference to your "K1" to "CR-1".
I-130 is for already married filing for CR-1 visa.
