Hello all

Well, here is an update on my situation. After submitted additional documents on July 21, 2006. The Embassy called my fiancee July 31, 2006. But it is too bad. She missed the call because not good signal on her phone. We are still waiting for another phone call from them. I want to call back but don't know the number. The number that showed on my fiancee mobile phone, it is from the embassy, but She can't return the call. Anyone know the direct number to the k1 visa unit. I called the embassy operator but always transferred me to the automated system. How often does the embassy call back to the applicant? Does the embassy send out a letter if they can't contact the applicant?

Please, help.

I suggest look at the website more thougherly. For example for the Guyana embassy - when I go to the visa page - it gives direct #. Or call to a different dept in Babgkok embassy and state that you are trying to reach such and such dept but you are not able to get through can they connect you or forward a message. Also try e-mailing the other embassy in Thailand and express that you haven't been able to contact Bangkok do they have a # or email that you do not?

Billy,

I don't know a good number to use. (I do recall that my wife had trouble trying to contact the IV unit using the numbers available on the website a few years back, I guess things haven't changed.)

Didn't you say that you know Bill White? (Or am I confusing you with someone else.....)

Hi Yodrak

Yes. Bill White is my lawyer. I got an email from him saying that he didn't know what the call is all about. Most likely, it's a good sign, He said. I'll be flying to Thailand next week.

Yodrak
Bill,

I was thinking that he'd know a phone number for the IV unit.

Hi Yodrak

I think like you, too. But I am afraid to ask him for it. Because I don't want him to think that I do something behind his back. He might get angry with me. I have made up my mind. I will not call the embassy. I will wait for them to call my fiancee, or letter from them. Mr. White also, has my fiancee passport. I wish, he could call the embassy for us after I told him the embassy call my fiancee. But afraid to ask him to do so. How did your wife connect with the embassy?

Bill
Yodrak
Bill,

If you tell Bill why you're asking for the number when you ask it's not behind his back, is it? And it gives him the opportunity to either offer to call for you or advise you to not call if he doesn't think you should. Bill's got your fiancee's passport? The consulate didn't keep it after the interview, or take it when the additional documents were submitted?

My wife went to the consulate one or two times during the afternoon open hours. At some point got a phone number that worked, don't know how she got it. When her visa was ready to be picked up the consulate called her.

Have a good trip.

I understand what you are saying. I might have to do that. Yes, Bill White has my fiancee passport. One of his staff went to the embassy to submit additional documents for us. The consulate didn't keep her passport, even after submitted documents. The consulate wished to review the documents, after a week, the consulate called. But my fiancee mobile phone had no service at the time the call was made. I might tell my fiancee to be at the consulate during the afternoon open hours.
