Hi everyone,

First of all, I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the support you have given me throughout this process. Had it not been for VJ I would have gone completely insane with this process. What with IMBRA and the usual stress that accompanies applying for a visa, I don't know what my state of mind would have been without VJ.

But now I want to know what happens next. I have received my NOA2 (via email), but not snail mail. I know that now my petition will head to the NVC and then to the embassy, but will I receive notices about where the petition is, where it is going, and when they send my fianceé the interview date?

I am just not sure of where this thing goes now. I am going to be going to see her in Nicaragua in about one month and want to know if there are any preemptive measures I can take now so that the process is as smooth as possible for her.

Is it even possible to go to the interview with her?

Once again, thanks to everyone for their help and support.

Oh and by the way, I had waaaaaayyyyy to much bubbly last night. Oh well. I was just sooooo elated. Uling I hope you didn't overdo it like me. whistling.gif

Congrats & Best wishes as you journey continues.

In about 2 weeks you will receive a letter from the nvc notifying you that your case has been sent to the embassy abroad and the letter will provide you with a NVC case #

If you haven't already done so it's time to start building your proof of relationship case. The more information you can assemble the better...."throw in everything but the kitchen sink" I recently attended my fiance's interview and I can tell you first hand that my presence made a big difference.

Good Luck

You may want to check this thread, with lots of info about it: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24513

NVC gives you a case number and run some security checks. After they're done with it, they'll forward your case to the consulate. The only way to get updates is by phone.
