Hi everyone i just want to ask a question, first question is the proof of employment from your boss what must it include on it? and is it required? Second question is where can i access last years tax return? Thanks for your Help.

Not sure if it's required, might be up to the individual Consulate, but it's a good idea.

Should be on company letter head if possible, stating your start date, and your anual income.

You can call the IRS on 1-800-829-1040 and request your tax transcripts for previous years... via an automated system

mallett_sj,

The instructions for the I-134 tell you what information the letter of employment should contain. Such a letter would not be required if I-134 is not required, if one's income is from sources other than employment, or if one is self-employed. There may be some other exceptions as well.

The IRS would have a copy of your last years tax return, if you filed one.

Technically it is required, however, each embassy has different requirements. The embassy in argentina for example , requires 2 years worth of taxes and the employer letter is optional. You might want to check with the embassy in India and what they require.

Also, I was told that you can use your official hiring letter (if you have one). Luckly, I saved mine, eventhough the salary is a bit outdated, you can use paystubs to back it up. Check with the embassy. Good luck!
