rahma
The title is from a hadith of the Prophet (saws). It primarily relates to dressing well and presenting yourself in a good manner in public, but it can also be applied to the beautiful things that are in this world.

My stress level has been elevated as of late, so I thought, what calms me down? Seeing beauty in the world, among fellow human beings, etc.

Please post the beautiful things you see in the world. I would ask that we please not post semi nude/nude pictures of people, as this thread did start with a hadtih. Thanks luv.gif

One of my favorite places in the world is Grand Teton National Park. I am really hoping, inshaAllah, once my husband and I get our finances under control, that we can make a trip out here. I haven't been backpacking in such a long time. I've almost forgotten what it's like to be miles from anyone, surrounded by the trees, and having the mountains towering over head.

And He it is Who spread the earth and made in it firm mountains and rivers, and of all fruits He has made in it two kinds; He makes the night cover the day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect. (Qur'an 13:3)

Beauty combats my stress and frustrations to, Rahma. Recently I left a store annoyed and came out to find this beautiful rainbow (posted about it on 360 so it may be redundant to those who read my page).

I must say I do love the outdoors and find it to be one of the most beautiful creations. But I think that all beauty starts in the womb.[attachmentid=1952]

I found these contrasting photos. One an iceberg and the other a sunset in the Sahara of Algeria.

Thanks to all the contributions so far. I need to get away *sigh*

Another place I love is Olympic National Park in Washington. I spent a summer there in high school fixing up trails and living 10 miles from the nearest road. I miss the solitude.
