My fiance filed electronically using the services offered by H&R. I wonder if the copies he has are as good as IRS transcripts. He told me he's used H&R copies before to prove income but I just wanted to make sure. Please advise.

D'oh. I wasn't clear enough. I was referring to tax returns as evidence related to I-134.

[size=4]wow, ur fiance tells u one thing, but u don't know whether to believe him, so u come here and ask total strangers behind his back. trust him, or else research it online with him at the uscis website, they r very clear about what is acceptable and what is not. that way you don't need to go behind his back in a distrusting way.

I don't think that's yours to decide, this board isn't about finger wagging, she just wanted to find out if it was ok. Not yours to read into, in my opinion.

Hiya Mew
Take a look at the Brazil Embassy website's Instruction for Fiance Visas:
http://www.embaixada-americana.org.br/pdfs/instk1e.pdf
Sounds like to me that his H&R copies would be ok. If you are worried, perhaps you could contact the Embassy and ask them if they will accept the ones he filed or if they want the IRS transcripts or he could just go ahead and order the IRS transcripts. They are free. You can also get the IRS transcripts from Accuverify.com--$20 if time becomes a factor.
Good luck good.gif

We ordered transcripts and both times I think we got them back in a matter of days, for free.

Where does it imply she doesn't trust her fiancee? She is simply double checking, many people do this in order to not make a mistake. When I read it I assumed she meant her other half has used H&R blocks copies for other finacial matters that have nothing to do with immigration, which is totally different! If you have nothing nice to say........... yes.gif stfu.

mew, plz accept my sincerest apology. maybe having been previously married to a woman that would always ask me stuff and then never believe my answer i'm overly sensitive to it. in any case, i had no right to make assumptions or to answer you as i did. thank you everybody here for pointing out my failing here. i do try to live by the adage "if you have nothing good to say don't say anything". again mew, my sincerest apology. i hope you and your fiance have a very speedy visa process and a lifetime of happiness together.

Apology accepted. smile.gif Actually, it was a very nice thing for you to do, to understand that you've made a mistake and apologize for it. A very noble thing.
