I think as long as you have the co-sponsor covered you will be ok. I was only working a part-time job when I applied for my husband and had to get a co-sponsor.

I think it may also depend on the reason to why you aren't working... maybe.. are you a student?

My brother was my co sponsor but they didn't even ask for our I-134... but you still need to do it in case they ask you.

You do need a sponsor but I am unsure if they will ask as to why you cannot be the sponsor yourself. At my husband's interview (then fiance) they did go over the I134 but I didn't need a sponsor. Each interview is different. You will also have to have a sponsor if you do not qualify at the time you file your Adjustment of Status paperwork after your marriage. You will need to complete the I864 at that time. Good Luck on your journey.

unless you meet the poverty guidelines you have to have a co sponsor for the form 1-134 which is the affidavit of support.
