Anyone who has flipped through a few National Geographic magazines has likely come upon a few of Thomas Abercrombie's pictures. While he covered the world from Alaska to Easter Island, he is best known for his pictures and stories capturing the Middle East. I can certainly remember seeing his pictures as a child. Unbeknonwst to me, Thomas Abercrombie was a native Minnesotan convert to Islam (woo, go Minnesota).
He passed away this last April.
