Hi everybody.
great great site.

my mom became a us citizen a few months ago. she was married a while back to a us citizen. about 2 years ago my mom started the process to become a US citizen. as stated, she finally became a us citizen half a year ago. my mom lives in the US

i live outside the us. i am 31 years old. im not married.

i would like to get a US citizenship. however i dont want to immigrate to the US, i want to stay in my country.

can i go through the citizenship process without ever living in the us? without being a permanent resident?

is K visa the best way to go?

a while back i was a student in the us with a student visa. i also received a SSN (which i lost). Social Security wont tell me my SSN number. i dont know if this matters

thank you. be well

No.

I was going to ask why on earth you would want to, but that is your business.

You can't become a USC if you don't meet the continuous residence and physical presence conditions.

Additionally, it will take around 10 - 15 years (depending on what country you are from) for a visa to become available for an unmarried son over 21.

Add to that another 5 years as a permanent resident before you can become a citizen.

From France?

Trying to think where on earth the could be.

I can only think of situations the other way around - Cuba for example.
