As you all of you know we were affected by IMBRA, and are awaiting our approval to be reaffirmed. Well, my fiancee Huong just called me and she just received PAcket 4 in the mail with her interview date of August 14. What do we do, not say anything and hope they won't realize it. I just don't know what to do. I have all her evidence here and I want to fly there for her interview. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Mike! I really want to tell you Congrats, but I'm not sure what you can do other than contact the embassy on Monday to verify the legitimacy. It's very possible this paperwork generated by the accidental packet 3 you had sent in, but on the other hand... it's possible with the incursion of the IMBRA holds, they didn't have a proper process in place for those that already had been approved and gone on to the US foreign embassies, , USCIS might have rec'd your IMBRA RFE and forwarded your case back to HCMC without notifying you...and since the signature on the signed packet 3 is valid for a few months, they could've just forwarded your information along for packet 4 processing... wacko.gif

I'm thinking if this logic is accurate, (and other VJ'ers please chime in) its VERY possible this is your ACTUAL interview date!! BUT, I'd definitely verify with HCMC by calling them on Sunday night!!

Mike, again, CONGRATS!!! notification of any movement is a reason to celebrate, and in your case, it can only be good!!

mike1972e,

What's the problem? Hope that the consulate won't realize what?

Yodrak,

The problem is his fiance got a date for her interview already, but he hasn't gotten the reapproval of the petition (the IMBRA RFE). Supposedly, the consulate should only get the petition back when he got the new approval. He's asking whether she should attend nevertheless or, in case of a negative answer, what he should do about it.

May I ask how you handled it? I'm curious... but I don't want to be nosey.

I don't understand. What do you mean everything is taken care of now? Your timeline says approved and it's not even the interview date. huh.gif
