I'm from BC so don't know if the liquor stores out there are regulated by the provincial government or if they're privatized. (Regulated by the province means that there are "liquor stores" and those are the only place you can buy alcohol...privatized means that it's saleable at grocery stores etc.) If it's regulated you'll be able to find many liquor stores all over the place and chances are most of them will carry the cider.

I found the province's website: http://www.lcbo.com/storesearch/index.shtml

That one gives the store locator, so if you know the neighbourhoods you should be able to find one near where you're going.

This gave the results that it is carried by the Liquor Control Board:

http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo-ear/ProductResultsController (I don't know if it will return my results...I put in "growers cider" in the product search and it came back with the Granny Smith and its price).

Hope that helps!

Start by calling the Vintages stores in Toronto, particularly the big ones (Queen's Quay and Summerhill). They'll have the biggest selection of obscure brands. Vintages

hehe I know it's probably an obscure brand out East, but coming from BC I just have to laugh at that description. You can't go anywhere out this way without running into at least 30 flavors of that brand! LOL

Strawberry Apple is one of my favorites. yes.gif

I don't think its obscure, I've seen it in several different LCBO stores whenever I'm up there. Just call a local store and ask if there's any in stock.

Okay, tipplers, maybe that brand is a biggie everywhere and I never noticed it. But BC wines (in general) are scarce in Toronto. You can, however, find apple ciders from Quebec, a surefire way to give yourself an instant headache. I prefer McAuslan's Apricot Wheat Beer from La Belle Province. Makes the trip to Vintages worthwhile.
