When entering the NVC case number in the barcode generator should the entire case number be entered or only the numbers? Our Case number begins with TAI, do we include that or only the 10 digit number following that?

From what I remember about reading on that shortcut it was all of the number.. including alphas.. Barcodes can be alpha numeric.

doublecheck though man.. just giving my 2 cents.. that is what I remember when reading that post on the shortcuts.

Yes, you include the 3-digit letters as well as the part of the case number, though 3-digit letters are not numbers. But when NVC assigns a case number, the format is: 3-digit letters followed by a 10-digit numbers with no space in between. 3-digit letters stand for the embassy/consulate. So when you create a barcode, you need to include the 3-digit letters followed by 10-digit numbers. Example: MNL2006123456
MNL stand for Manila, Philippines.
