I have been checking on our petition since finding out we were approved, when I rang the NVC this morning I was told we have a case number!! Mrs Z, Simple told me that based on the date I was approved that I should ring the NVC and choose to speak to an operator instead of entering my reciept number, as every time I tried that, I was told that they didnt have it. As you were approved a few days before me, you should do the same, hopefully it will be good news for you as well. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

It is good to see many approvals and other good news all on a sudden of VJ members. Of course, I am not psychic and I am not the best! I predicted based on average time for a case number being assigned by NVC after the approval. You should check your status by calling them every day. Try to speak with an operator live. Call 603-334-0700, then option 1 for English, then option 5 to speak with an operator. I am sure, you will get a case number any day.

I called and spoke with a live operator yesterday. The operator told me they hadn't received my petition yet and that it usually takes 2-4 weeks for them to receive it. I'll keep trying back every couple days or so until I get the number inshallah.

I'm having no luck getting through to a live operator, and their automated system hates me J/k. I heard that sometimes it doesn't get updated because cases stay at the NVC for such a short time.

You have to keep calling them, one time, you will be able to speak with an operator live. Anyway, feel free to ask questions. By the way, I am a huge Argentina 'Futbol' fan. I was sad to see them lost to Germany in the penalty shootout. I think, Pekerman should have brought Messi or Aimar instead of Cambiasso when he replaced Riquelme. This substituion was the cause, otherwise, it could have been 2-0 for Argentina.

I called again yesterday on our case and still nothing. It's been 13 days so I'm not worried yet. I just want to get this show on the road! I'll continue to call and check everyday until I get a number. The man I talked to yesterday was slightly irritated with me because it was only 12 days since our I-130 was approved and I was already calling to check. Uhhh too bad..you ppl are holding my future in your hands, deal with it!

Sounds like you will have your case number next week, maybe on Tuesday-Thursday range. Don't worry.

Update: I finally got through this morning!! My case was already sent to Argentina! It only stayed at the NVC for a day. Holly crap, do I have a lot to do now!

I'm still bitter about that game. I believe that Germany "cheated", I just don't know how.
. It's okay though because Germany didn't make it to the finals!
Just called NVC...we have a case number!!!!! Our case was entered into the system this morning!!!!! Two weeks to the day we were approved.
