So I know this is for US immigration, but I was here in the past trying to do that, and then switched to Canada immigration; anywho, Got the approval letter today, Passport requested, all done!! In just 3 months. Pretty coolio!!

Take care everyone, good luck on all your immigrations, we will be doing DCF next year, so I'll prolly be snooping around here then.

I have read they are very quick on the U.S./Canada apps, and ours was transferred to Los Angeles to expedite it. I have been seeing many going thru in 3 months, even a few in 2 months! I am already here in canada as a visitor, I packed up and put all my stuff in storage.

My latest quandry now is whether I have to get my passport changed to my married name before I send it in to get the visa stamp. I really really want to just send it and deal later, trying to find out if that will cause any problems. I just really want to get the landing done so I can get my things back!! I only brought over one suitcase full of clothes HA HA

Congratulations! That was quick. Maybe my fiance and I should get married and go that route instead. I should looks into fiance visas to Canada - if there is such a thing. Anyone know?

Congrats !! Have fun in the north smile.gif

2 months, 3 months, that completely floors me lol My fiance and I had been looking into this route when my ex was steadfastly refusing to give consent to let me go with the children, and the minimum processing time seemed to be 8-10 months thereabouts. So people are either getting very lucky or CIC has gotten their butts in gear as promised. As it is, that doesnt seem to be all that much different than the wait times for a K1 these days anyhow. Congrats again! As to one suitcase full of clothing....any excuse to shop is a good one right? tongue.gif
