I guess I do not understand what IMBRA is and how do you know if you are one that applies to the new ruling? Who getes an rfe for IMBRA and is there some place to view this? Just curious I guess as I know of others who are going thru this but not have registered on this site. Sorry ,I am just wondering, and seen no postings on what,who, etc. Thanks folks

You'll get an IMBRA if you filed prior to March 6, 2006.

Post March 6, the new I-129F included the section for disclosing any potential criminal history (petitioner).

Actually that is not really true, as I filed my 129f in May and the IMBRA paperwork was still not part of the application. I just received my RFE for IMBRA a couple of weeks ago. The 129f that is available now does have it, but they just started including it in June or July.

Yes, you're right... sorry to mislead. I don't think the I-129F 'caught up' until early June. We only learned about IMBRA in early May.... so there were several, post-Mar 6, that didn't have a revised I-129F at their disposal.
