Hey, I have reasearched a ton, and I've found this company http://www.kellytravel.com/ to be the cheapest, at least for me, to brazil. But i have yet to find a better rate. if anyone knows round trip tickets for less than $1000, let me know! also, http://skyauction.com seems interesting. but i haven't tried that yet.

Just as an example, I punched in 10/03/06 - 10/10/06 JFK-GIG

www.airfare.com - Lowest fare: $707 including taxes on delta

www.flycheapabroad.com - Lowest fare: $698 including taxes on delta

Expedia - Lowest fare: $724 with 2 stops on Avianva, $769 On delta

Travelocity - Lowest fare: $774 On delta

We always used expedia.com and found good deals... But you need to keep looking everyday and in different departure/arrival dates (weekdays are the best prices).

thanks. those connections suck though! yikes, over night stay in Miami....the price is good, but I don't think i have enough patience for that...sometimes i think i'd rather pay $1500 and get a good flight, with quick connections...but thanks for the post. I'll keep it in mind when I acutally have any money to go see my husband. I'm almost finished with school, so I won't be planning any trips until that's completly over, maybe 3 months-4 at the most (but let's hope for 3) yeah, it' probably more like 3....then i'll go see him, and who knows, hopefully at that time we'll have an idea for his interview and i can bring him home....(i know that might be wishful thinking) but hey, dreaming, or wishful thinking is what got me into this situation to begin with...dreams do come true!

USS 689,00 round trip from Miami to Sao Paulo... Sometimes it is even USS 550,00. We always use it

You have to spend quite a bit of time trying to find the best airfare. I was trying to find low air fare from Seattle to Sao Paulo through Expedia and couldn't come up with anything cheaper than 1200, and they all required connecting though Miami, Dallas, or Houston...I decided instead to try it just from Los Angeles to Sao Paulo, and low and behold I find an entirely new option...Los Angeles to Sao Paulo (with one stop in Lima) for only 600 on Lan Peru Airlines...then I just bought a seperate R/T ticket from Seattle to LA for 200 and wound up saving over 400 dollars. It does amaze me that Expedia never gave me this flight when i searched seattle to sao paulo...gotta try different options as they dont always give you the best routes for where you may live.

Unfortunatly for me to go to San Juan is never less than US$1100.
