Today when I logged into NVC website, we got Login Fail........alhamduli'illah

We got a stupid RFE on Oct 22 that said Ahmed's military record that we sent in the IV packet needs to come from the Egypt's Ministry of War, instead of the Ministry of Defense.

I called NVC numerous times telling them Ministry of War no longer exists, it's now Ministry of Defense.

I had a supervisor review it, and I sent an email explaining in detail, as well as giving them 3 website links directly to the Egyptian gov't and even NVC's own website with the info.

So it looks like a supervisor with some sense actually corrected their mistake and accepted his document, like they should have in the first place. Hopefully we're still in time for the scheduling of December interviews next week, just so glad the RFE is fixed.

Thanks Andrea, I called NVC this morning to confirm it, and before I could even ask her, she immediately said "Congratulations, your case was completed Nov 6, 2009"

I guess my calls and email worked, and I didn't even have to send the RFE coverletter back!

Insha'allah you will get out of NVC fast and if they give you the same RFE, tell them to tell a supervisor what I told them and send an email as well.

It was one of the best phone calls of my life, So it seems there are supervisors there who actually read our emails and have common sense

Hi Andrea, interviews are set after the 2nd week of each month, for the following month's interview date. The operator told me that we are too late for a November interview, but that they will start scheduling December interviews next week, Nov 9th...............and Qatar is very small, so the embassy shouldn't be very busy with IV interviews.
