Hi Amal, Yeah I haven't had time to log on to yahoo lately I been busy working. We are closing on our house next thursday I am dreading the packing and the moving though. I haven't really started so this weekend I am getting my butt in gear and start some packing and getting rid of things I don't want.

Awwwww that's nice of you Amal. Everything is good here I can't complain. Anmar got a better job and better pay that's why we
decided it was time to buy a home because now he can pay his half.

Right now taking a break from packing. I didn't realize I had so much things just makes me tired looking at it. I think a lot of clothes(sexy) will go
to the goodwill tomorrow. I hate packing!!!!!

packing is the WORST! I definitely don't look forward to it....uggggg.. i pray to god that we don't have to move ...i'm bustin my butt trying to find him some business around our town..i hope it works..

I think I'm the only one I know who likes moving. Even the packing part. It's fun to go through everything. And then planning on where everything will go in the new place. It's like a giant vacation. It's starting fresh. I just love it.

I like planning where to put stuff..but i hate packing it all in boxes... I especially hate all the trinkets and small stuff..arg....if i could just move and leave everything behind..i would..... but I don't want other ppl touching my stuff......

I wish I could just dump the drawers with all kinds of papers in them in a trash bag!

btw I would recommend watching the movie YES with Joan Allen and Simon Abkarian. That was a good movie!!!! In the movie Joan Allen is an Irish woman who grew up in America and Simon Abkarian was an immigrant from Lebanon living in England.

I might have to check that out! Noor has slowly been becoming interested in movies. Thank goodness. When he first got here he wanted nothing to do with them so its been nice here lately that we can sit and watch one...

We are all moved into our home now. Although we have boxes downstairs everywhere Most of the upstairs is unpacked. It has been keeping me really busy. I have no internet until Wednesday. That sucks oh well I can keep up with the news on VJ at work.

I spent last night alone I was totally creeped out. I am not use to being in a big house all by myself. Anyways I couldn't sleep I tossed and turned all night. Anmar was at work until 3:30am. Finally when he came home I was able to sleep a few winks. Now I am thinking maybe I got too big of a house..sigh! I guess I was just use to living with people next door I just have to get use to it.

Congratulations, on the new house. It is a great feeling isnt it? We are enjoying our new house too. We got everything put away and in it's place, inside. The storage room outside is a different story. Hachemi and I will tackle that after New Years. Got the yard raked front and back. His parents are making plans to come visit next year.

thanks meriem! it is a great feeling. It has been keeping us very busy plus we both work, so we hardly have time to put things away yet.
We finally got our internet hooked up. We had one phone jack which we never noticed, and the line was disconnected from the phone box outside. My husband had to rewire the phone line and put in new phone jacks it saved us money from having the phone company install a new line and jacks which would have cost a lot of money. I am just glad we have the internet again. I was getting bored there for a while.

We have all these trees surrounding our property and we had an ice storm and the surrounding neighbors tree branches were breaking off. All I could think about was oh no if ours start breaking and falling into other people's yards and damaging their property we are responsible ah well ours didn't break off thank god!!

When did this get unpinned?

I was just wondering the same thing. Thought I was at the wrong forum with seeing only one pinned thread...

I have never read this thread, but when I noticed it wasn't pinned anymore, I looked for it. It definitely came down today. I noticed because this screen is small, so when I use this pc, I have to scroll past the pinned area to see the rest of the topics. This time was the first time it wasn't there.

i thought months ago someone put in a request to unpin it, maybe the request was finally fulfilled.

well szsz i asked it to be unpinned because nobody posted in it anymore it was a dead thread

anyone can still post here! i made it so anyone can express their thoughts or opinions, but lately nobody has been posting in it.
It was just like a venting thread especially if you are going through a long immigration process. it's still ok to use if you have something you want to get off your shoulders during the process and don't feel comfortable during it in another thread. I know us people going through Jordan can empatize because we wait over a year before our husbands can finally come over. so it's like a venting thread nobody used. Anyone with a SO from any ME/NA country can use it because most of use ME (jordan) use to use to to say damn it my immigration process is taking a long time. etc......
