Hello everyone,

I have been married to my beautiful wife (US Citizen) for a little over two years nows. I had been living in the States from the age of 7 first as a dependent on my fathers student visa and then as a dependent on his Work visa. After my father left the states IN 2005 I became out of status and overstayed for more than one year and was then granted voluntary departure in 2007. I left the states in the specified amount of time which was granted to me through the voluntary departure but i believe i still have a 10 year bar for overstaying the visa for more than one year. I dont have any medical conditions (diseases), and i have NO ciriminal history.
I had my CR-1 interview at the US Embassy in Kuwait on Oct. 27th, 09 and we received an email a few days later telling us that the next step would be to file the I-601 waiver.
I was hoping that I could get some ensite from anyone who has been through this process in the middle east and particularly in Kuwait and what the chances of Approval and/or the processing times for the waiver.

ANY ADVICE ON PREPARING THE WAIVER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AS WELL

THANKS TONS

Your USC wife will need to prepar the waiver packet for you. She must be able to argue 2 things. 1) that it will cause here extreme hardship if you are not reunited with her in the US and 2) why she cannot move to Kuwait. The chances of approval are based upon your arguments on the waiver packet so no one can tell you if you are likely to be approved.

It's lawyer time. packets are difficult and arduous. Good luck
