I am in the K-3 process with my fiance. She is concered about her mother. After we get married, would it be possible for us to bring her mother into USA? Which Visa process would this be?
THanks.

She would have to petition for her mother after becoming a US Citizen. It woldnt be possible before.

I have a similar question...only, my fiance and I are interested in having his mother over for our wedding--and THAT's IT!! She will return to Jamaica, as she cares for her elderly mother and her 2 grandchildren...does anyone know if there is a special visa or a way to get her over for those purposes only that won't be so dramatic and such a big hassle!!! If we're planning to wed next summer (Lord willing and the process goes through w/o much drama!) then when should we start applying? We haven't really set a wedding date, because as you know, that is contingent upon when our interview was approved...

Yodrak,
Would it be possible for a USC to petition to bring a mother in law over? or does it have to be the immediate relative? i am only asking because my husband and I have discussed bringing his mom over. We wouldnt want to wait till he's classified as a citizen, but we will do what we have to I guess. Thanks

Sherry,
You've submitted an I-130 petition. Read the instructions again.

Why do people want to bring their mother in-law here. That's one of the major benefits of marrying someone from 10,000 miles away. LOL

That is one aspect of Family Unity that would not go down too well!
