Hi,

My fiance has her interview on Nov, 6th.
She has not received anything from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.

I've emailed the embassy to send the packet again and to possibly
reschedule the interview.

She needs to do get her police certificate and she isn't sure where
to go exactly. I thought any police station would be fine.
Can someone advise on where exactly in St. Petersburg she can go
to get the certificate.

Also, is it possible to get her medical in St. Petersburg?

Thanks,
Ed

Can't comment on the police cert in St. Pete but the medical must be done at one of the two places listed in the Embassy website. IOM can be done in one day I believe. It may be too late to obtain the police cert; you guys may be wise to email the Embassy and ask for the interview to be rescheduled while you get your proper paperwork in order. All that is required is lised on the embassy website.
Emailing the Embassy is easy, just include your case number and ask to be rescheduled. We had to do that and received the new date within a week. We also rescheduled a week before the interview.

Thanks,
Ed

Already emailed the embassy.

Just trying to make it easier for her.

Any suggestions on where to get police certificate?

Thanks

I hope others will chime in. The local police office, from what I know. I will ask Alla, but she's in Lobnya, just north of Moscow.
This is a standard document. Whenever someone moves in their country, they need to register with the local police on their new address, etc.

She ought to know about this and this is where you obtain this cert.

I will also admit that Alla did tell me that she never had to obtain this cert until her whole Adoption of the little one and visa stuff came up. So maybe she doesn't know?

If you want, PM me and I can give you my Alla's email and phone number and she can contact her to inquire.

She need to request the Police Certificate in District Police Center (Областной ГУВД) which in turn sends request to Central MVD Information Center in Moscow, it takes up to a month to receive a Police Certificate. And there is no medical St. Petersburg, only in Moscow:

Hi Ed, My Natasha lives in St. Petersburg and she went and got her police certificate. Yes they told her it would be ready in a month but if your fiancee has lived in St. Petersburg all her life and has had no other problems (criminal activity) it could possibly be ready in a week or two. After she applies she can just call them to see if it is ready. Sometimes they answer the phone but be patient she says. They are actually very helpful. Natasha wound up going to the KGB which is actually close by and other police stations , they were very helpful in telling her "its next door" The following is the address and times they are open, straight from Natasha, I hope this helps...

St. Petersburg ul Chaykovskogo d.14 metro Chernyshevskaya (10 minute walk)
Phone: 573-34-26

Monday 15 -17
Tuesday 10 -13 and 15-17
Wednesday 10-13 and 15 -17
Thursday 15-17

Thank you Norrin.

I think that is exactly what I am looking for.
