Another quick question!

I noticed a lot of people processed in Montreal. Is that the consulate of choice in Canada?

Thanks!
Cygnet
Montreal can process both K and CR-1 visas. Vancouver can only process K visas.

I don't know about the consulates, but in my experience of the cities in general....

Vancouver = cool!
Montreal = suck!

I know that isn't any help at all, sorry. From what I've seen, the only real issues with Montreal are cars getting broken into, staying at the wrong hotel, etc.

The consulate you are processed through is dependent upon where in Canada you are residing. If you are more Eastern then you would likely end up in Montreal...more western then you will end up in Vancouver...you dont get a choice unfortunatly. smile.gif

Unfortunatly you do not get to choose which consulate you will end up at...it is dependent upon where in Canda you are residing. If you are more eastern then you will end up in Montreal..if you are more western then you end up in Vancouver. smile.gif

I hate that everyone keeps frownig on Montreal, yes there's crime there but isn't there anywhere. I've been two both Vancouver and Montreal on vacation.
This is how I describe each place:

Vancouver : Beautiful view one glance turn around and you see prositutes and drug addicts, sex shops. Expensive for everything especially Food.

Montreal : Watch your purse and car, a majority of the people are rude if you don't speak French. But so beautiful, lots of history , old buildings and Notre Dame -- just breathtaking.

But each their own. I like Montreal better.
