Hi, I’m going nuts here...on the 3rd of july I was sent the customary 3 emails stating that my RFE was sent out on June 23rd...now it's the 16th and I have not received it

this is driving me nuts...I live in Idaho...one state away from California...13 days I could walk there in less time!!!

the pressure is mounting and effecting my mood

Help...is there anyone else out there that was told on the 3rd that it was sent and still does not have it?? and if you don't mind...what state are you in??


I'm about to fly to Ecuador on the 20th and will be there for 2 weeks and want to know if I should be calling them yet??

I received a similar e-mail stating the RFE was sent on 23 June. When it actually arrived on the 3rd of July, I noted the postmark was 29 June. Some here theorize that the RFE's were sent in "waves". I believe I was in the second wave. You may be in the 3rd wave?

No one has been able to show any sort of pattern in the RFE "waves".

A call may not be a bad idea, since you are getting ready to travel. It may ease your mind a bit.

There are people who haven't received the RFE yet. It seems the second wave was sent out after the 4th of July even though the postmarks were June 29 and the emails said June 23 so there must be a third wave as well.

CSC is not going to help you because the email says "if 30 days have passed and you have not received the notice". Instead, I suggest contacting your Senator first thing tomorrow morning. Print out the privacy release, fill in your case information and fax to the Senator's office and call to follow up. Tell them you need the RFE in your hand before you leave on July 20. My senator's office said if necessary, she would get it faxed to me if I hadn't received it . I got the June 23 email and didn't receive the actual hard copy until July 11 - but she was willing to call and get a copy more than a week before that. There is NO reason why your Senator's office can't do the same. If one isn't helpful, call the other.

FYI, I too got the 23 June e-mail. I actually got and returned the RFE on 5 Jul 06. Today I got a e-mail that said my RFE was received. In the e-mail it said that my application had already been processed and the timeline posted will be shorter. My original NO1 was 9 May 06. Keep the faith.
