hey everyone. I am so agitated and need to vent! mad.gif

I have been trying to reach the Jerusalem consulate for over 3 weeks now. I have sent 3 fax's clearly stating my name and date of birth and case number, as well as my husbands name and date of birth then asking the question i need to ask. i put my phone number as well as my fax number and email in hopes they will reply, but they never do ! In my fax i was very clear that i have emailed them several times and called numerous times but no one answers and goes straight to voice mail where it says to leave a message, then the same annoying voice will say "voice mail full, u cannot leave a voice message at this time" i call different times in the day hoping someone will pick up but no one does !!

No one has responded to my emails too. The consulate is in Jerusalem, i am in Ramallah, if anyone knows the situation here in Palestine, u would know what a hassle it is getting to JRS. I am so angry that no one is answering my questions even though i tried 3 different ways to reach out and ask. Does anyone else feel like they are treated as if they are a bug ?! LOL... okay that sounds a little funny even to me, but i just dont understand why its so difficult to respond!

they are busy...? YES, i know, but at the same time, get what u need to get done so our case will be out of the way ! ARGHHHHHHH

my question to them is that me and my husbands main form of communication is SMS messages when he is at work, we don't do emails because sms messages are more convenient for him while at work. we have SMS messages dated back to 8/2008, how am i supposed to print those out as proof of relationship? Should i send in the whole memory chip? I have tried to print them with no luck whatsoever.

Any advice is greatly appreciated !!!

Consulates typically do not accept electronic media so sending a memory card would not help you.

I just typed up our text messages. If I remember correctly you have been living there right?? You won't need to worry too much about establishing a relationship other than proof that you have been living there. The embassy in Dakar didn't even look at our emails or texts, or receipt. They only looked at a couple of pictures and then questioned us each individually. Even with a few non-matching answers given we were approved and picked up the visa today.

are your cell-phones pre-paid, or contract? If you receive a bill, it should be itemized to show text mesages sent/received. You can include that instead.

oh my goodness ! its pre paid, that is my problem! i have never seen phone plans with a contract here.
i feel worried and stuck my evidence will not be enough, i have many pictures, but that's basically it. i am not only talking about the wedding pictures by the way, i have plenty of regular day pics as well. all the sms messages are dated, but i just cant find a way to print them ! akhhhh

Can you get a letter from your farther saying you are both living there and letters from family and friends about your relationship?

I know how frustrating it is not to get a response from the embassy. wacko.gif A couple of years ago I was having problems getting email responses from the Jordan embassy and someone suggested that I make a new email address and send it from there.
I have a couple of different email address; personal, work, and school. So, I sent them an email from my school email and it was answered in a couple of days.

You might try that. I hope it works.

Good luck!

It might not necessarily be the consulate's fault. Emails do get lost out in cyberspace. If you are using a free email service (yahoo, hotmail, etc), they do tend to get stuck in the spam filters at times.

Still not an excuse, they can check their spam then. Also, that does not explain the 3 fax's i sent and the numerous phone calls. There is no fax cyberspace nor is there telephone cyberspace wacko.gif

Can you go physically to the consulate?
spookyturtle
Can you call the consulate to ask questions about your case? Some consulates have set times each day or x days per week when you can call and speak to someone. I am not surprised that you haven't gotten a response to your emails. When my wife and I went throught the fiance visa/waiver process the consulate never replied to our emails. I sent inquiries by express mail and they were never answered. I got some answers by phone. You need to see if there is any way to make phone contact or an appointment to go to the consulate yourself. Be persistant, don't take no for an answer. Call your congressman or US Senator. Make noise. Keep fighting. Good luck!

You're a US citizen. Every consulate has to allow US citizens entry, doesn't it? unsure.gif
