As far as I know know, the things are moving very quickly in NVC for K1 visas and they are not issuing the case numbers anymore or putting us in the database, they just go through it and send it on its way.
Mike.
I got a case number on mine
The letter was an I-797 from The vermont service center
Gomez what was the wording on your 797 ??
My NOA 2 was Mar 31, letter from NVC April 13 - stating NVC had approved I-129f petition and would forward to visa issuing post within a week, and assigning case number with barcode. File arrived at Paris embassy about a week later I assume, and fiance received instruction packet (pkt 3) April 24, returned to embassy May 5. Petition recalled, and the waiting started. Still waiting for reaffirmation, back to NVC< back to embassy, etc. etc.
To answer Gomez's question, I only got one letter from NVC. The one you received sounds very similar. Different embassies have different methods of acknowledging receipt of cases. I never heard anything from the embassy in Paris, they just sent the instruction pkt to my fiance, which he received aobut 2 wekks after the NVC sent me the letter. That embassy is just about impossible to contact unless you happen to be in apris and can show up on a Friday afternoon hoping to get in to talk to someone.
I got the I-797 it said it was being sent to the NVC then I got a letter from the NVC saying it will be processed in a week then forwarded to embassy. The letter also gave me an MNL#. Yhe PDF that was posted on this topic said it was forwarded direcly to the embassy or consulate it looked like it skipped the NVC?
