Beth,
You have my number

Morning everyone, Im back in USA, and went to work, no word from embassy, and no movement on the Chronopost package we gave U.S. Embassy to send visa. Feel empty, and lost, do not know what lays ahead of us. His visa in France expires Friday, Nov. 6th, and embassy still has his passport.
Thank you all for your love and support.
Paris, I have a question, which I'm not sure if you've answered before...I don't remember. If I remember correctly, to interview for an immigrant visa in country other than your 'home' country you have to have some sort of residency in that country. Does your husband have residency, or a work visa in France, that he interviewed there? If so, is he not able to extend that, to give him more time in France? Is the US consulate aware that your husband's visa is expiring? I also agree w/ everyone that posted (in your post-interview update thread) that the consulate holding on to your husband's passport is a good sign. Hopefully you'll get good news re. the visa very soon!
He has a Temporary French residency card/Student Visa card. He was working part time, and attending school there.
So he is there legally, but card expires Nov. 6th, and he is un-able to renew it.
Yes consulate knows about card expiring, it is why they gave us a earlier interview date. And at interview, the card expiring was mentioned too.
For the passport, its strange, even when I asked if she is keeping it, she made no move at all to hand it back! That is the thread of hope Im clinging too.
