I am quite displeased with our government at this time as I have never received a call, email, or letter from any government branch stating our case has been recalled due to IMBRA. Through my own research I found out what was going on. In addition I discovered, especially from info in VJ, that USCIS is incompetent. Does anyone at any SC know what is going on?

So we are wondering and would like your thoughts on this.....

We did a guestimate based on all info we have and where we are at now (reopened 6/22, no RFE yet) and it puts him here in January! I see apps from May/June with the old I-129f form getting RFE's and approvals!

Soooo....what if my fiancé and I filed again without canceling the first application? Do you think they would catch it? We are just so curious as to what the level of incompence is!!! We are also curious as to which app would be approved first wink.gif

So whatcha think?

USCIS...slow, yes. But your best bet is to wait patiently. There is nothing any of us can do! And starting another petition with an ongoing petition already in the works is a bad idea. That's just creating a reason for delay. Youdon't want to do that.

So relax. Just be prepared to move fast when your case reaches processing receipt date, OK?

We're all in the same boat!

I thought about that a lot too.
Just think we could fall into IMBRA..
Remember the limit of 1 petition in 2 years? Don´t know how that works, but..

Anyways.. if you ask me, I think someone applying today with the new form will be approved before us. That´s how I see it.

Wouldn't it give you a bit of headache? Wouldn't you have to withdraw your petition that is - theoretically - being reprocessed to apply for a new K1? And there's the issue of the number of K1 visas that rlt mentioned as well.

Hang in there and be patient. We all will make it through this mess...

What is IMBRA and RFE?

An interesting concept and a thoughtful synopsis of this debacle.

My advice, don't do it. They will see the double file. You can rest assured that the names will trigger a _____.

Try to hang on a bit longer, somehow, this will all get resolved and hopefully in an equitable fashion.

Don't submit another petition. Someone here did that a few months back (I forget the reason why) and all it did was cause them more problems.
The Molinas
we sent two petitions within 3 months....
the first one got lost either on its way to the USCIS or in the USCIS...
