we never bothered the operator before we got the case number , we just called them and listened the automated service , and got the case number afer 10 days , and after that we talked to teh operator and gave her both email adresses.
just dont be worried at all it dont take much long usually , and i m very sure u will get ur case number within a week . best of luck

I agree with what you said. I have spent only 21 days with my husband, it's almost a year since we got married. This process is really lengthy, but we will be fine. I also complain a lot to my friends and sometimes I feel like they get tired of hearing. I am getting used to the fact that I have to wait. Hope you get your approval soon.

i feel so grateful and lucky i have been able to spend so much time with my hubby. we spent 3 months in USA then he came here for 5 months and i have only really spent 2 of our 10 month marriage apart so far.

i also feel so lucky we got NOA2 so quickly, in 69 days.. and i pray you will all receive yours soon!

We filed in July, but I felt like I am with you guys, cause you were all so active. Well my husband just called me and said he got an email which says our case was approved I just wanted to scream like crazy, but was afraid of freaking my parents out :)So I came online It took us only 50 days, what can be better!!!!!!!!!Just 2 hours b4 he called me i checked the status and it was still pending and now it's approved After I checked the status and went to bed I was praying that we would be together and here it is we made a big step to that I am so happy!!!

metro, here is good news, we haven't been completely left behind. csc is still working on some May filers as well. we were fortunate enough to get some S L O W case workers i guess

NVC is taking forever to assign me my case number. I have been calling them every day twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I also talk to the operator and they basically tell me the same thing over and over again, that it takes about 2-4 weeks and sometimes up to 90 days. Screw that!!!!!

You are so lucky that you received your case number within 10 days. I mean they received my K3 file but haven't received the 130 one. I just hate waiting for a stupid case number. I talk to them everyday. It's been 10 days since our peition got approved. Have you received your DS3032/AOS BILL yet?

Sister u will definitely get ur case number withing a week , and we havent get the DS-3032 or anything yet just case number , and sister u know there r lot of june approvals thats y NVC has lil burden these days but dont worry every thing will be fine INSHALLAH .

Received NOA2-has-been-mailed email today at 12:15pm.. the best present I can imagine on today my 41st birthday.

Seems June was a lucky month Good to see progress made by fellow June filers.. I'll keep ya'll posted with the progress from here.

Yes, my name is Robert but I never use that as it's just too formal sounding.

I'm not sure how much info I can give as we're just a few weeks ahead of you in the process...

As you can see from our timelines it was 8 days for my wife & 7 days for our son to show as case received by NVC and have a case number.

Also note that it was 13 days to get the AOS Fee Bill & DS-3032 for my wife via US Mail but only 4 days for our son via e-mail. The difference baing that I had called NVC the day he had a case number there and gave them our e-mail addresses BEFORE THEY GENERATED his AOS Fee Bill & DS-3032 so they were able to e-mail it all to us instead of print & mail it.

Now it has taken 8 days for them to accept her DS-3032 via e-mail and we are expecting our son's to be accepted ether today or tomorrow as they were e-mailed close together. Note that when e-mailing the DS-3032 the short note included in the outdated shortcuts doesn't work anymore. You must fill-out and sign the DS-3032 that is sent to you and then scan it and attach it to the e-mail then follow the provided instructions (put NVC Case number in subject line, Petitioner's name & birthdate and Beneficearies name & birthdate in the message body with note stating that your DS-3032 is attached).

When I sent the AOS (I-864) Packets to NVC I sent the package UPS Next Day Air. NVC's system showed "Mail Received on the case" 2 days after UPS showed it was delivered.

Once they have received the DS-3032, NVC will generate the IV Fee Bill.

The best shortcuts (in my opinion) are:

1. Call NVC starting at 5 days after NOA2 Date to get NVC Case Number.
2. Once you have NVC Case Number, speak to an NVC Operator and give them both party's e-mail addresses.
3. Use Express delivery services (not US Post Office) for return of Document Packages (AOS I-864 & DS-230).
4. Have the documents (AOS I-864 & DS-230 Packages) ready to that when the coversheets are generated you can send them right away.

I've read on VJ that members have been able to get the SLMEC Medical Exams by just showing a copy of thier NOA2. I'm going to suggest to my wife, Anna, that she & our son try that before the end of the month as it would cut some time off the wait for her interview.

The wait times now are so much shorter but really more agonizing because we're so close that we can actually imagine the day she will land in Chicago. She has days where I think she'll go crazy from the wait but this is how the US Gov't works: Hurry up and wait...

i'm just curious, if you call the NVC and speak to them, what do you tell them? what do you ask them? how do you ask them? you just call and ask right away "what's my case number?" hehehe thanks

When u will ask them about ur case number they will ask ur CIS case number (noa receipt number) the can also ask the name and date of birth of petitioner or beneficery, that all what u have to tell them

still waiting for my noa2 my wife and my son are desperate to hear something good from me i have seen some july approvals but i am still waiting dont know when i am going to get mine i still cant see my case on uscis website it shows error i called uscis severeal times they said ur case is pending but we dont know why it is not updated/available online .
i have a questio when i filed my i-130 bymistake i wrote wrong wedding date is this one of the reason its taking long for noa2 but they have my marriage certificate my sons birth certificate and everything please help me let me know i am worried what will happen why i am not getting my noa2 and anyone knows how long it takes for the interview after noa2

I filed for K-3 and obviously CR1. I can see that people who have filed only for CR1/IR1 have received approvals. I'm thinking i should have only done a CR1 and dropped the k3 idea. Anyone out there end of June filing still not approved yet???

hi kaus, we haven't received our approval. noa1 is june 29. just have to play the waiting game. unfortunately calling uscis now will only tell u that you are within the processing dates.

new citizen, as far as how long your interview will be after you complete the nvc stage depends on how busy your consulate is.

i know this is none of my business, but why are you the one calling NVC instead of your husband? you'll prolly save if your husband calls nvc, don't you think? unless it's really cheap to call from australia to the us. hehehe

I really don' think it's because of your incorrect wedding date. I feel like USCIS doesn't do anything and in some cases they have accepted the application without any proof. They are a big joke. But the only thing is that you have to wait until they approve your petition. I think you will be fine. After NOA2 you have to complete your NVC. I have waited 15 days and haven't received my NVC case number yet. So it's a long process, but once started NVC moves faster than USCIS. Good luck and hopefully you will be approved soon.

hey guys, now for something super cute... my hubby surprised me today by telling me and showing me a picture of a puppy he bought for us today!





its an Australian Shepherd (awwww!!!!!) and he doesn't have a name yet as hubby is letting me name him hehe

its because my husband is not the one doing the paperwork, i am. i have done this whole process myself from australia and all he does is sign forms when i mail them to him, and pay bills when i need them paid. i know it sounds terrible, but others are doing it this way also.

if he called NVC i would be worried that he would get a question he might not be able to answer on the spot and i dont want it affecting our case.

anyway maybe i am being paranoid. but no, its not cheap to call the US from Australia.

my phone bills are ridiculous.

I haven't got a case no. yet...so sad..
anyway, good luck for everyone!
