the last 3 years would be 2006-2008. you cannot submit 2009, but can do your last paycheck (if it shows accumulation of paydays) or some have submitted the last 6 months of paychecks.

How come we don't include 2009? We filed in 2009 and not in 2008? But do you think you can include 2009 instead? I'm asking because in 2007, my income met the poverty guideline, 2008 did not meet, and now in 2009, i'm expecting to be above the poverty guideline again.

When you filed your taxes april 2009, you filed the tax year of 2008. The w2 you got from work is 2008. They usually mail W2's in december 2008 to make it january 2009 so u can file your taxes before april 2009.

in order to give proof for 2009 taxes, you would have to include a W2 for 2009.. which they will mail that in december 2009 for when u file taxes 2010. After all, since 2009 didn't finish yet, its possible you may get a raise (or lose your job..) and your w2 will have to reflect that possibility wink.gif

in all honesty, they only need the most current tax year. 3 is optional to show that you have had the steady income. you do have the option to wait until early next year to complete your NVC stage. i am not sure, but i think they will hold for 6 months before the consider it abandoned. how could you file taxes while you are still in the current year? that is where your paystubs will come in handy. they just want to make sure you are above the poverty line or else you will need a sponsor.
pogingmasunurin
oh thanks for the reply. i think i got it now. hehehe

I guess my approval was so fast. I was actually thinking that we'd get approved around november so it's near the ending of 2009 tax return. thank you again =) kicking.gif
JustJ
Just checking in, kids.

Congrats to the newly approved. yes.gif

I was at therapy today. Broke out in tears in the waiting room. blink.gif One suggestion the therapist had was to break target dates into smaller slices of time. For example, pick something between now and the anticipated interview (denial) date, and concentrate on that. I've sort of been doing that all along (have been using pay days for that purpose star_smile.gif ). If I had nothing to look forward to between now and a Visa, I don't think I could handle it.

I have an upcoming visit to look forward to. I'm going to concentrate on that, despite the fact that I'll be spending it in abject poverty luv.gif . Can't say when, as it's a surprise for my husband, and he sometimes snoops in here. laughing.gif

No further along, really. We have an NVC case number. That's about it. People have been advising that you should try to get your NVC case complete before the 10th of the month. Obviously, since the NVC experience has been rather slow for us, we're not going to make that. So I'm anticipating *maybe* a November interview (denial).

I'm sure we'll all be together in the September NVC thread.

laughing.gif i wish i would have filed in february when they were approving in a month tongue.gif we were very close to getting married on my february trip, but i wanted to wait some more time for our k1 to die, and decided to wait until september. however, we got tired of waiting, and plane tickets were cheap, so we got married in May kicking.gif

sorry for the story, i am sitting on a pretty boring training call ohmy.gif

Kaushalia, I got married at the end of last year. We hired someone to do our procedure and the person was a fraud. We thought we already had a petition going on, but he didn't file anything for us until May. Isn't that pathetic. But whatever's over is over. Now I finally got my approval. Thanks to God everything is possible. You will get yours soon too!

Guys, I don't know how to thank you enough. Honestly I was beyond upset last night.

I guess with waiting brings paranoia huh?

Thank you all for explaining it so well for me.

Oh and the shots, I got my hep A and B and a flu shot koz hep A & B I never had and the rest, if I need tetanus or anything, I'll get at the panel doctor now I know I can wait smile.gif

I got a blood test though, just to check my history for vaccines.

I really feel better today. I had been so sick with stress the past few days!!

Hi Donna,

Im glad to know that you are feeling better now! We almost have the same things in mind, the frustration of not being approved and not having NOA2. Remember I posted that we got touched last August 21, 2009? I am not sure if that is a real USCIS update to show that it is on the move cause me and hubby called USCIS that day. Its more that 2 weeks now and no update after that. I am getting frustrated that other people are being approved before us, we filed our papers May 28, 2009 and got the NOA2 on June 8,2009. Im trying to be patient but it feels so unfair to wait like this.

REgarding taxes, I am thinking about that as well as hubby was fired in the hotel where we used to work and he found a job which offers minimum salary.

I hope eveything will be alright and we will receive our NOA2 soon. Im getting crazy waiting for the first approval!

Hey,
Don't worry you will get your approval soon. The only reason I got mine early was because I contacted the senator's office to handle my case and they probably inquired about our case from time to time. People say that if you annoy USCIS they delay your case, but I don't think I believe in this. The senator's office people inquired about our case almost every week and we got approved 2 months earlier than expected. I don't know what else to say, but I hope that you will be approved soon.

Hello malka,

thanks for your message! I really dont how USCIS works. Yesterday, hubby called them and they said that they updated our case August 13, and in our email accout, it was 21st. Anyway, I cannot do anything but to wait! I really hope that it will be with us on friday! If not, have another week to hope and wait! innocent.gif unsure.gif

mrsemcee

Dear Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry.

If your Father In Law is eligible (have the income/assets) and he can Joint Sponsor your spouse (and complete I-864A). This I-864A can only be completed by your Father-In-Law (if your spouse is currently residing with him).

It looks like there will be 3 Household Members (including yourself). The poverty guideline figure for 3 people is $22, 887. Therefore, your Father-In-Law’s income should be $22,887 or more. If not, evidence of assets worth of US$68,661.00 will be required.

If the above is not met, your Father-In-Law won’t be able to Joint Sponsor your spouse. Your spouse will be required to get another Joint Sponsor for him.

Sincerely,

Noo, i have seen forum postings saying that people got shoved in AP during the USCIS stage.. and some people during NVC stage..

They can shove ppl in AP anytime they please, and more than once even..

I'm planning on filing for a PIO card and just going to India to live with my wife instead, and just leave everything else as it is. I'm preety sure I am in AP.. You June guys are getting approvals now and I haven't heard anything yet. I'll probably get stuck in there for months waiting.. I'd rather spend those months with my wife. America has nothing for me if my wife isn't here.

If this stupid AP waiting takes over 6 months to do, its probably better for me to just live in India 6 months and file DCF anyway.
Baltar
http://www.usaimmigrationattorney.com/Secu...tiveReview.html

that site is really nice for explaining the AP.. but they can shove you in there at any time in the process and totally screw everything up.
spectheintro
I wouldn't assume you are in AP yet, Baltar. People from May are still getting their approvals. The fact is, USCIS has no rhyme or reason. There are filers in July who've already gotten their approvals. No way of knowing why or how--they just have.

Give it another month. If the majority of us are already approved and you are STILL waiting, then yeah, you may be on to something. But even then, as long as you're within 5 months, there's just no way of knowing.

Hey Baltar,
Your timeline says you just filed your I 130. You are not in AP. The next step for you is your petition getting approved. It's really sweet that you just want to be with your wife. Your 130 will get approved soon. AP comes during the interview process.
