Congrats to everyone who got their NOA2. smile.gif

I got my first touch today, but I'm fairly sure it was in response to a letter I sent informing them of my preference for the Abu Dhabi embassy. Sigh.

Today (the 25th) marks exactly 2 months from my NOA1, so let's hope June filers start getting some love!
mrsemcee
Oooh it's terribly exciting to see things moving here wink.gif

good luck everyone!! I hope we all hear something good soon smile.gif

keeping fingers crossed for (at least) 20 more approvals before september 1 kicking.gif

Happy to see so many approvals.

But also very disappointed with USCIS. My NOA1 receipt date is of June 1st and hasn't been approved yet.
People with later dates than that have started getting their approvals then why not my case. Probably because my case is from Pakistan. They say they are very fair in judging and approving petitions but obviously they are not. I know they won't approve my petition until the end of October or something. I am tired of living by myself, I wish they would understand how hard it is for us.
Anyway congrats everyone!
Twisted K

Hello Malka!

I know how you feel right now! We are almost at the same time! We filed our papers May 28 and they received it on the 2nd of June! CSC received it on the 8th and got our NOA1 on hand on the 12th and still no touches or something! Let's just hope and pray that it will be with us soon! Have the feeling of the same cause you are from Pakistan and I am from the Philippines! But let's think positive! We will be alright!

The process seems entirely random to me--I think that's what so frustrating about it to many of us. We're told that applications are processed in the order in which they're received, but this site is clear proof that they are not. And there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it--some Western European and Canadian applications (whom I think those of us with Middle-Eastern/South Asian/African beneficiaries think would get preferential treatment) get approved in 2 months, others take much, much longer. And there's never any communication as to why, so we're all just left scratching our heads as some of us get approved in record time, and others take much longer.

Try not to let it get you too down. After 5 months you can start applying some pressure; until then, just hope it comes sooner. The vast majority of CSC apps are being processed in 3.5 months, so us June filers should see some real action come Oct.

i agree! hoping for a positive outcome for us all. it must be frustrating though living in a country where you think it may go slower.

hopefully they like us Aussies and i get through soon enough hehe.

i am going to be wrapped if i hear anything before October... GO TEAM JUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Twisted K
i have reached the conclusion that i will not let the slowness get me down. heck, been in the official process of trying to get the husband here since april 2008, so if i have to go the full 5 months before i can contact uscis to get a move on, then i am ok with it. it just means that his interview will be next year which will give me pto time to be there with him. if it gets approved before november 30, which is our 5 month mark, then it will be a blessing. good luck to the june filers. we will be together soon kicking.gif know that if you have all of your necessary docs in order for NVC, it will breeze by yes.gif

Amen to that. As for the timing, it really does not seem to have much of a rhyme or reason far as order goes but Igor's list does appear to indicate that they get done in roughly an average amount of time.

Thanks for all of the well wishes! Still more fun to come, however.

I have a Canadian application pending for almost 2 months now, no touches and I hope its true what they say about faster approvals for us. However, I tend to be one of those people who gets hit by every Murphy's Law so with my luck, it will take years! LOL. This process is driving me crazy- if I at least get some touches I'd feel better but the fact that its been sitting around with no touches makes me nervous!

Ah well! Ok, but here's to hoping it comes in sooner rather than later!

unfortunately cuz, i have learned very little. he bought me a book, but without hearing it constantly, it is hard for me. he has promised over and over that he will teach me when he gets here. his dad does not speak any english, and his mom speaks a little more english than i do hindi laughing.gif his sister is an english and math teacher, so we understand each other fine. i know some words in hindi, and punjabi. do u know any?

red thing? Hi Everyone,

My question is out of tune! biggrin.gif but I badly needed your help.

I petitioned my wife who is in the Philippines now (IR1).

Her company will send her here in US for a business trip, but she needs to get a visa first. She's worried because she heard that if there is a pending petition, chances is she will get denied, or even if she gets approval for a tourist visa she might be hold on immigration (port of entry) here in US.

Have anyone here experienced the same way as my wife? Did your petition affect your business travel?

Donna, can you still travel here in US even your petition is on process?

Your inputs are very much appreciated!

Thank you so much guys!

Twisted K
yeah, his family speaks mainly punjabi and hindi. our kids are going to be multi-lingual too. as an exchange for him teaching me hindi and punjabi, i have to teach him spanish laughing.gif
