No, not yet. But I feel like it's imminent like this week sort of thing. I called them last week to see the details on our AOS package and the woman with whom I spoke said it was complete and all okay and that they were working on our IV package. I do not expect any issues but you just don't know. ~Touch wood~ they complete our case this week. And i'm not even superstitious!

How are you, lovely? Hanging in there? I know, the waiting is a HUGE bummer but it seems that they processing on target so... hang in there, pretty soon you'll be like me wondering how you're going to get all your crap packed up and find a job in your new home and such.

It's going kinda slow. Partially because of me, but mostly because I have to pay the fees via money orders and I'm waiting on my gramma to get her I864 and documents back to me. I've got mostly everything together - the forms are all filled out minus a thing or two. Hubby has to get his PC and a list of all the times he went to the US to give to me.

Sent the I-130 on June 30 and it was received July 1 and accepted July 2. So I am at the end of the pack . If anyone gets their NOA-2 it would be very helpful to send me a note and let me know when you received yours. Best of luck to everyone.

Are all of you I-130 filers or have you also submitted your I-129s? No need to tell me it is obsolete. I have read that here already. I filed for both as anything can change when dealing with the government and was wondering if anyone else did the same. It is worth it to me if I can get my wife here sooner even if it is just a month or two.

I filed the I130 on June 30, NOA1 on July 6, and NOA2 on July 15. We were going to file for a K3 as we did not want to travel to Montreal (it is the only consulate in Canada to process CR1/IR1 visas). However, since our I130 was processed so quickly, we opted to continue with the IR1. Another VJ'r, Paris Heart, filed for a CR1 (but also filed an I129F just in case!). Her I130/I129F were approved very close together, so they are going to go with the K3 because it will get them together quicker (no NVC).

I have filed for 129F also, but have decided to take the I 130 track. Is it advisable for me to cancel the 129F petition or should I wait?

hey, you do not need to cancel your i-129f, you can just follow the i-130 process. should the consulate have your k3 interview prior to the cr1, you can ask them to interview for the cr1 instead, given that they have all the info for the cr1 on hand.

Thanks for answering. But wouldn't the NVC process be different for K3 than for the Cr1? I heard the Cr1 takes longer at the NVC.

The last piece of the NVC puzzle he also sent a huge card. very cute. i showed it to my mom, and she was impressed. sometimes i think she may like her new son better than her old daughter she always says what he says makes more sense than what i say

Hi there. Looks like the USCIS is solidly working on the 2nd full week in April now. One end-of-April filer got a hard copy NOA2 with no email, and no touch.

I'm guessing that in another few weeks, it'll be our turn to see some approvals in our little group.

Me and my hubby keep on checking Igors List and yesterday were on 113, we just checked it today and were on 108. Hopefully will have our NOA2 by september or early october so we could be with our husband by december...

Hey Everyone...I am getting confused with changing my name to married name. I posted the question in another thread but so far no one replied. I know I should be a little patient but I am getting worried about this for no reason. I have filled all CR1 forms in my maiden name but now I think I made a mistake. I did it to keep things simple but now my passport is up for renewal and I am not sure what name I should get that renewed under. All my current documents are in my maiden name.

How much cost and time does it take for me to legally change my name once I am in US? Is it recommended to change the name prior to entering US?

When I filed the I-130 for my wife everything was in her maiden name, I had her change her passport a couple weeks later to maiden name and will be submitting everything with new lastname during the NVC stage. I will just list previously used name with her maiden name.

The cost for you to change name in US will be getting a new passport which i think is 300+ dollars and you will probably need a new greencard and ssn card as well then.

Can you change the name in between USCIS and NVC stage? Is it advisable to do that since I did not mention my married name at all in the I-130 forms. Also if I change my passport to my married name now, do I HAVE to change all my other ids such as DL, Health Card etc?

Bored at work and having my first cup of tea.

Had a funny conversation with my boss yesterday. I've been really throwing myself into work to stop myself sitting thinking about this wait and he said it's a real shame I'm leaving as he hasn't seen me work so well in the last 18 months! I did remind him I didn't really want to leave and would work remotely for him, but he's still not biting

It's nice to see us moving up Igor's list. C is over with me soon for a week and we're going to start going over the nvc shortcut info to start getting stuff ready for that. I am seriously in the good books right now too, I booked her a trip to Paris without telling her then surprised her with it Could only afford 2 days but she's always wanted to go there.
