If they're working on February 15th right now, then it seems like it's going to more like 6 months for processing for us June filers.

My husband is not a regular at his doctor's office. In fact, I doubt he can remember the last time he sought medical attention. His vaccination records were destroyed long ago.

Does anybody know if they can check titres to find out what vaccines he needs? Or will he have to get every single vaccine?

Yes. That is what I had to have done, an antibody titer test -- it will determine what he's been vaccinated against and such -- then if he's missing anything, he can be inoculated right then and there. It was a bit of a pain in the butt and it was lucky that I'd thought of that as I hadn't had my immunization records for years.

Hey, it's not as bad as the timeline last week - for a while there, it was saying November 2003!!! I think I nearly died at that one!

Hey, I was snooping around the VJ timelines. When I look at the chart, it seems to me that many of the March filers have seen their NOA2s. In fact, many of them through the END of March have seen their NOA2s. That means that the Service Centers are now moving into April???

I know they say 5 months, and I know that VJ's are a small percentage of the applications at the Service Centers, but this looks like good news to me!

If that's the case, we could start seeing NOA2s in here in the coming weeks.

Another good thing is on the USCIS website, they are just estimating 5 months, could be shorter. I think they know if they said a shorter time frame, ie, 90 days, then we would be calling on the 91st day When we filed K1 in April last year, they were saying I129F were processing in 6 months. We had our approval in 4. So, I said all that to say this 5 months is the maximum they want to give us before we start calling and making demands on our NOA2s.

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between October 19, 2009 and November 2, 2009*.

i know its a long time, but geez, i'd be soooo happy if it was approved by oct 19th, koz that means realistically, we will all be home by XMAS!

Yes, that would be very very nice!! Husband just asked me today when do I think his interview will be. I was saying hopefully in november. The last thing I need for NVC stage is his birth certificate, which he put in the mail today. I have everything else. And they say the NVC stage goes very fast if you have everything. So people can use this time to gather everything so their USC spouse can be ready We will fly through and interviews will be scheduled, then the happy reunion

I think the bars indicate the percentage of petitions with NOA2s. As you can see, it looks like quite a few in March have already been processed.

Congrats, Donna, on getting your tax return. I was due a hefty refund, but they made the check payable to me and to my foreign spouse. It created a huge problem for me, as I couldn't cash it without him present. I returned the check and we wrote requesting that the check be made payable solely to me, but so far, nothing's come back. So I"m still waiting for my 2008 refund halfway through 2009!

I filed my parents I 130s. My question is, once approved I 130 is at NVC, do I need to send all Original Documents (Parents Birth certificate, Marriage certificate, etc)?

2nd do I also need to send mine birth cert original to NVC with above mentioned docs?

Just want to be prep ahead.

That is a good question. Not sure about parents, but spouses need originals. People tell me you can ask for all of your originals back at the interview. It might be worth asking on a new forum topic.

ive made photo albums, i have got ALL the forms ready for NVC and i have changed my passport name, my medicare, everything, in order to be all set to go when NVC finally gets our stuff. i just havent done my blood test to find my vaccine history yet.

ive even got our co sponsor totally ready and all the tax info ready for him and my US spouse and all they need to do is date and sign when the time comes.




its 1pm here so ill be awake all day long...

i dont even know if my i-130 will get through without an RFE, but im trying not to think about that part.

It is funny, Donna, that you mention getting your hair done. My mom does hair as one of her many jobs, so I make it a point to go to her shop once a week. I always joke with my husband that if he gets a job other than my hometown, then he has to pay for me to come home every weekend so I can get my usual shampoo and set Gotta stay lookin' good

LOL, hair! One of my weakness. when I was in US I learned how to cut my own hair and style it. Since birth, its just my mom who is doing my hair when I get back to WY, I have to cut my own hair again.. Huhuhu! Hopefully I could find someone who could take care of my hair when i get back to Jackson, WY.

Yeah, it is so hard to find good hair stylists. And when you find one you like, it is like finding a rare jewel. When I go to India, I have to do my own hair, and am convinced it is for the birds
