I am here also... I recieved noa 1 yesterday but my reciept number wont work either. I notice the timeline says noa2 wont be before February!! I just picked up a second job. I have to go see my Husband Good Luck to everyone!!

First, would like to thank you for opening this forum for all the June '09 filers. You are lucky that your papers has been touched. We received our hard copy of NOA1 last June 11 but until now, it hasn't been touched yet. You are lucky that your papers has been touched so fast. Still waiting for someone to take care of our papers so to have the NOA2.

my papers were touched once, then NOTHING aaaah! i hope that there is good news soon. i found out my check cleared on the 29th today. so that is good. i was worried about it and my bank couldnt tell me til TODAY. silly bank!

The recruiter said the interview went very well, and she is sending my resume and answers on to the hiring manager for a face to face interview. She said if I don't hear anything to call her and she will find out what is going on. Here is to fingers crossed 
. I am cool with it either way, I actually like my current position. Just saw an opportunity to move up, so I went for it I was actually surprised since the grade level is 4 points higher than my current job

I am getting really upset that we still cant check ours cuz it would not work. Hope it wont be any problem if I have to show the document at the airport Friday and that they wanna check further. :S

Nervous wreck again, I just have to tell someone. My husband is at work, and is not getting off for another half hour. My best friend is busy at her job, and so is another mutual friend of my husband and I. I just got a call that my second interview is tomorrow morning. Over the phone again. AARRGGHH! As I told my hubby it is ok if I don't get it, since I do like my current job, but it would be very nice to have this new one.

I've had no activity since the 8th of June...I check the USCIS site a few times a day too..oh how do we ever kill the time waiting? Luckily, Im able to live with my husband in Canada, but I miss my family in CA dearly

Anyone can tell me how to get a hold of a PERSON when u call the USCIS number ? It's pre-recorded stuff and ofc just like the website it doesnt work with our receipt number. I am really upset cuz we cannot check anything and so we dont know if anything is gonna be done or w/e.

my husband received our NOA1 today...thanks GOD

as for me, i emailed the NVC a few days ago asking about original marriage cert and birth cert etc for further down the process... when we have to give them over.
they emailed me back today telling me that they will return all my originals at the embassy when i have my interview so thats good news.
i got the email when i woke up and it said NVC on it, so i did a little freak out thinking omg it couldnt be THERE already hahahaha!
i am going to start getting my immunisation records ready and maybe even get my police check soon. i know the police check is valid for 12 months and i honestly cant see the process taking more than 12 months so i am doing it ahead of time.
the only thing we cant do ahead of time is the medical i heard? so i will get my police check and at least see what immunisations i have had in the past.
in other news, i did my tax return last night for this year, and guess what? i am getting a $4,000 return! can you believe it? i cant! it will really help for the move to the US!

Well, on a brighter note, they tell me that this is the longest wait time between NOAs. Said NVC can fly by as long as you are prepared with the money and documents. I hope so, I have been trying to get my honey here since April 2008 when we first applied for the K1. Anything not to have to endure the HOT as HECK summers in India, hehehe. But I guess he is worth the move if push comes to shove

yeah I bet it's super hot there in summer! We had our hottest summer ever in Melbourne this past January, and lots of bushfires... Just awful!

I figure if it's valid for 12 months I may as well get it now... Anyway I booked in for august 14, maybe we will all have good luck and get noa2s by then hehe

hi there!
i wouldnt be the one to guide you on what to do, but i entered the US as a visitor and i got married to my husband while on a tourist visa, then had to come back to australia to work, and then he visited me here, and we applied for CR-1 from australia.
i am only a little way into the process.
the thing i would recommend, if you decide to get married when you visit the US, you will need to be very careful going through customs in US. i guess it could work, koz i did it, and others have too, but yeah, once you are in the US and married, you technically can stay there and apply from there...

I was thinking.... Do I need to wait til noa2 comes in before I get my police check? I saw in another thread someone said it needs to be dated AFTER noa2 date... But I don't know if that's the case...
I figure if it's valid for 12 months I may as well get it now... Anyway I booked in for august 14, maybe we will all have good luck and get noa2s by then hehe
P.S this time next week my beautiful hubby will be back in the US

Hey, I'm not sure about that. It sounds like it is different in Ecuador than in Australia. We were told the police records get updated every 3 months in Ecuador, so for us it is best to wait at least until NOA2. Best of luck~
Also glad to see your hubby will be able to visit! I couldn't hold out longer and just booked a ticket for next Wednesday to visit my love.

FYI I just found out from the Australian (Vic) police today that ours are valid for 12 months so I'm ok to do mine now.. I'm booked in for mid august!

I really hope June Filers will get approval soon! I cannot wait to be with my husband again. I really miss him a lot. I just hope all our visa journey will be completed by October or November. i am doing ok, i am getting prepared to take my husband to the airport on saturday, he goes back to the USA...
i have my passport interview tomorrow to change my name to my married name on my passport so i have correct ID when this is all over..
i also booked in my police check and fingerprints interview for august 14th so i am "pre-preparing" things hehe.
i will book my doctors appointment to get a blood test next week to organise my vaccination history before noa2 comes in.
looking forward to THAT day, thats for sure!
i also start a new job next week, so thats good news. it will keep me going til i leave for the USA finally!
