I joined this site today as I have found it to be a tremendous comfort in this time of desperate uncertainty. My brief history: I married my amazing Peruvian husband in December of 2005 while he was in Texas on a tourist visa. He left the States before the permission on his tourist visa expired and has been in Lima, Peru since the beginning of January. I filed our I-130 petition in January and our I-129F in April.

This waiting process is excruciating. Contacting the USCIS is pointless. But it's a relief to know that there are people here with some anwers. Are there any members who are in the process of bringing their spouse from Peru to the States?

Hi, welcome! there are others who have brought their spouses/fiances to the US from Peru. You might want to check out the Regional Discussion Forum, there are some threads there started by Peru-US folks. Hang in there!

welcome to VJ and yeah there is a rumor that there are other Peru-USA couples on this site--don't know why people think its true. But hey you almost got married on my one year anniversary date! Congratulations. And I was seperated from my spouse for off and on about 9 months--so just hang tight and those 6 months and counting will end counting soon.
