Hi everyone, i wish you all the best in getting that visa. Anyway, i posted this topic on another forum but i thought maybe this forum would have more experience i hope. Here goes, my husbands lives in a village in palestine and his name is Mohammed. He also has many cousins in the same village.
Its cultural that each family should atleast name one of ther sons mohammed. Anyways my husband has maybe about a few, maybe 5 cousins with the same first and last name , since their all cousins. BUT EACH PERSON HAS THEIR OWN MIDDLE NAME AND THEIR OWN PASSPORT AND SS NUMBER. Do you think at the initial interview which is next month this would maybe cause a problem or anything like that, i mean when they check fingerprints and pull up his full name theyll see that he has no history or backgroung. So what do yall think about this situation, i hope someone can help me with this problem from this forum. I wish all the best for the person that does. would it be a problem that he has a few cousins with the same name, even though he has his own info and he also submitted both palestinian and israeli police c- both clear, so would this still pose a problem. I feel like im going crazy with all this. someone help!Would it be a cause for ap- even though he has his own info and fingerprint and pc which are clear. Whats gonna happen? How does the process work?THANKYOU FOR READING, PLEASE GIVE UR OPINION.
Otto und Karin
They always go by the person's FULL name and even including things like DOB - even if it weren't a name beginning with Mohammed. good.gif

Yup. (In other words - your case isn't the first to cross their desk.) Or as some here in Texas might say 'It aint their first rodeo.' good.gif

Don't worry about it. The consulate doesn't depend only on a person's name to identify them.

You think Muhammed is common? That's nothing! More than 50% of the people in Vietnam have the last name "Nguyen"! Many times they either abbreviate it "Ng", or don't bother to write it at all, since it's just presumed. blush.gif
