As the school year's drawing to an end later this week (Yay! Time to write report cards for the kiddies), I finally have time to look closely at the DS-156 & DS-156K forms that Montréal had sent me in Packet 3 (I'd already filled out "test copies" using downloaded forms).

Looking closely at the forms that I was given, I noticed that they'd expired in 2004! wacko.gif

Soooo... seeing how there have been tons of cautionary notes about using the forms that Montréal gives us, should I just go ahead and fill these ones out? Or should I also bring with me completed, updated forms too?

I think if you have any forms that came in Packet 3 those would be the ones to use...regardless of the date. If MTL sent them then it must be ok to use.

Just my thoughts...Joel went through MTL and used the forms they sent in P3.

Completely agree -- if they take issue with the forms, you can say "you sent them to us!". Montreal has had a reputation in the past of getting gnarly if you use downloaded forms.

Also, if you look at the forms section on the USCIS website, they list which "expired" forms are stil acceptable to use.

I used the poorly copied and 'expired' forms Montreal sent without a problem smile.gif
