Hello everyone. Well I was talking to Hachemi on Skype and they lost the internet connection. Algerian internet is so bad.

So I am waiting to see if he comes back online. I have good news. Hachemi called the Dr that did his medical exam. All his test are A-ok and she has the documents ready. He is going to Algiers tomorrow to pick it up. He can call the embassy for an interview as soon as he picks it up. Whew!!! We are getting close now. I am so excited.
Jean, my son is just 13. And sometimes when he goes to stay with his grandmother in the country. She lets him drive the backroads a lot (she is with him). It is hard to beleive this elderly lady lets him do this. She is brave. I am not that brave.

At least he is getting some experience. Oh and I dread the insurance premiums too.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Ugh. The internet. I am feeling your pain. Some nights the internet from Egypt is so bad all we do is go off and online. Sometimes he travels to a different city because there is no internet at all. Last night it was so bad, we were both so frustrated. We have both taken a vow that as soon as he gets here (enshaa Allah) we're staying away from the computer. We can't bear it anymore really. It's been 1 year and 1 month that we have been sitting online WAITING for this bad dream to come to an end.
You know, really I think it's great your son is getting a wee bit of practice in. My son has been afraid to learn. Traffic scares him. I don't blame him. In this city we have a lot of Dale Earnhardt Jr wannabes that like to make up the laws as they go, and just driving to the store can be trying at times. He needed to learn to drive so he CAN get a job. He will have cover part of his insurance and gas money. Geez, I have to tell you this is all weird feeling. It seems like yesterday he was a little tiny boy holding my hand to cross the street. Now he's edging his way into manhood. (Gawd, I also have to teach Moh how to drive and that scares me far worse... HAHAHA.)
