hi i was married with some american girl, i loved her at first. and i stay with her for a while then i have to moved out b/c i can't stand her behavior , not looking for a job , also using drug. but we agree that i will suport her everymonth for $200 for living b/c i don't wanna lose my opportunity to living in the USA. right now i have conditional greencard which is only 6 months passed from the date that i got it , then i have to wait till next year to remove it. my problem i gave her $2500 bc she need help really bad. and now she wanted more another $2500 and she was soo rude called me said if i don't give her money another $2500 she gonna ###### me up by filing divorce. it's kinda blackmailed now .. and she let some girl called me on her phone said that she calling from ***laywer office she need my address because my wife she filing the divorce. soo i look at the phone book found that lawyer office telephone number then i called and ask if they called me and need my information then they said NO. she and her friend trying to thread me all the time. WHAT SHOULD I DO ? and if i got divorce am i gonna lose my opportunity of living here?

Do you have sufficient bonafides to prove the marriage was genuine? Once you ahve your conditional green card, you can divorce. Success would depend on if you have enough evidence that you lived together, shared residence and mixed your finances.

"Some American girl" ? Sorry but it sounds as though you just picked someone at random to marry, and now she is basically black mailing you over a greencard. Maybe someone will come along that can help you, because I certainly don't have an answer.

I can't determine if the OP feels that the payment to his wife appears fishy. But there is nothing inherently wrong with a spouse agreeing to assist another financially during a period of separation. However, if the spouse is taking advantage fo the situation, then he has options to put a stop to it, IF he has sufficient bona fides for the marriage. Any step from this point onwards for his immigration case would require that he show that the marriage was genuine. He needs to assemble his evidences from the time they were cohabitating.
