So they have had Samir in immigration for almost 5 hours and im freaking out. All the airline could tell me is that she brought them paper work and she new that they where holding him. He missed his flight to Cleveland and im so worried about him. His Aunt flew in from Maryland and I dont want her to know how worried i really am!!!!!!

I am so sorry for this, I will keep him in my prayers. Please let us know everything worked out. InshaAllah he can just take another flight. How is his english? Will he be ok to make the arrangements? If not I will be in New York tomorrow at my mom's place, 10 minutes away from JFK and if necessary I can meet your SO and help him to get the next ticket.

His english is real good, i still have not heard from him (poor baby). They said immigration should get him on a plane. Thank you so much for your offer, i will let you now if we need anything for sure. I am hoping he gets on a late flight tonight INSHALLAH!!!!

Well Samir called and there are no flights until tommorrow so he took a taxi to new jersey where we bought a new ticket from newark for 400.00 plus the taxi 100.00. I still do not know why he was in immigration for over 6 hours but he will hopefuly be here in the morning and i will find out the details. American airlines where not helpful at all and i lost our ticket with no kind of reinbursment. Well it cost alot but i know he is safe and in the big city!

Just got back to VJ for a little bit...What a story...I am just surprised that he was not able to flight out of JFK...and had to go all the way to Newark...anyway I am happy that all worked out...Have a wonderful reunion with your love...Best of luck...Dorothy
