I was gathering the forms for Packet 3 because I figured I might as well get Darcy started on the forms he needs to fill out. Well I was reading through DS-230 Part I. Question #20 says "List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16." Well he is going to freak. He has moved over 25 times in his lifetime. I realize it is after he was 16 but I can guarantee they won't all fit on this form and will have to attach a sheet.

This will just make his day....NOT! tongue.gif

I sympathise.. I mistakenly started filling out that form and had not completed the list year of counties visited when I realised that is was for males only....... it would have been a ot os work going through my old passport as well as current.

Yes 11:11 haunts me. I see this set of numbers everywhere and whenever I look at the clock whether am or pm around that time its 11:11. tongue.gif

The DS-230 is part of Packet 3. I am trying to get a head start on the forms. I am glad I checked. Its going to take him a bit to figure out all these dates. He has a horrible memory too. Ugh!

I *just* finished making up my supplement page to the G-325A form where it asks your residences in the past 5 years. I was in college for four of those! I lived in a new apartment every year and went home just about every summer. I think I had 11 different entries. Phew!

Can't remember very well, but think my hubby just wrote the cities and countries. No addresses....

Ramos,

Learn to distinguish between the different phases of the immigration process, because you're not going to find DoS forms on the USCIS web site.

OMG that's so weird! The same thing has been happening to me for a couple years. I always laughed at such things until that started happening. I even called this local cable access channel with these two psychic/numeroligists just for the fun of it (I don't watch, just happened on it while channel surfing).

She said the number 1 means new beginnings, or was it 11. Oh well either way. To show how many callers they get, I got on right away! :-)

I got nervous last november 11th wondering what was going to happen to me :-)

globetrotter,

You wouldn't be thinking of DS-157 (not DS-230-I that Jen asks about) would you? (If you are, recognize that some posts require it of women as well as men.)

DS-230 is under Example Forms at the top of this site. Also on the Depart of State site:

I've lived many places and it was a lot of work to fill out that part of DS 230 part I... I called the embassy to ask them about some other details - and they said it was enough to list the countries you lived in from age 16. I know Darcy is going through the Canadian embassy, but maybe they have the same process? Maybe it's a good idea to call the embassy and his work load will decrease? Or anyone from Canada would know? Unless he lived in 25 different countries, can't imagine how many police reports he has to collect if that's the case. blink.gif
Good luck!

April 15th 2006: Joachim and Sunnanah got married in the US, Susannah returned to Norway
April 24th 2006: Filed DS-230 part I to the US Embassy in Oslo for prescreening
May 2nd 2006: X-rays
May 3rd 2006: Contacted the US Embassy to get an interview appointement, we got the week we wanted!
May 18th 2006: Medical exams
June 7th 2006: Immigration interview at the US Embassy in Oslo, petition and immigration application approved!!!!
June 10th 2006: Received Immigrant Visa in the mail
July 13th 2006: Susannah is moving to the US

if you look on the form it just ask for City, Province and Country... it does not ask for specific addresses...

I have moved a million different times since I was 16 but when I filled out the form I just put the different towns I lived in which happened to be only two.... then I put the dates I lived in the town alltogether... not the dates I lived in each residence...

I put I lived in Chilliwack, BC, Canada from August 1989 to Present (even though I moved a bunch of times when I was living in chilliwack) and then I put I lived in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada from Birth to August 1989....

am I making any sense? laughing.gif
