Yes...that sounds strange to me too. I have recieved many email replies directly from CSC and they have never given a specific time frame...
Luis&Laura
When it comes to USCIS and related issues, no answer is ever the same, no timeline is ever accurate and all we can do is sit tight and either wait for their official notices or official e-mail with case status.

The email CA sent me this morning says "The process should begin next week and you should receive the request for evidence within 30 days"

I'm not liking any of these answers : (

maybe they are mailing it out next week! smile.gif at least it is not that please check with us after 45 days kinda thing again.

im super trying to be optimistic about this. cheer up kitkat1

Not to hate, but I'm getting tired of the VSC people being leap years ahead of CSC. It's kind of a joke, really.

Half of those guys have already received and sent back the IMBRA RFE. At this rate, it looks like it will take 9 months from start to finish.

I do have my local congressional and senate offices following the case, however. So, let's see what happens... good.gif
YnaYeBa0808
gupt i totally know what you mean. i dont think it's hate but more of why cant we all be in the same pace as everyone else who filed in VSC? i keep asking the same question over and over and over again.

9 months? id be lucky, my fiance's country has a waiting of 4-5 months just to get a visa interview... $#*$#@)*$#
yassmine2878
Things may be moving at CSC. I got the generic email the other day about "We need another 45 days, stop bothering us", but today our case was touched for the first time. So maybe they'll start chucking out our RFE's, too.

Everyone please join me in the "our case just got touched dance" kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Here's to hoping we ALL get our RFE's really fast, Cheers!
jen&darcy
Well I hope they send them soon because I am moving in 3 weeks. sad.gif

Posted this in another thread yesterday.
Thought might be better here.

Got the following from my lawyer On 6-22-2006.
Not sure if it helps at all.
Just makes me feel that the USCIS is not keeping there information up to date enough for us.

"CSC is up to March 6, 2006. We have received several adjudications from cases receipted March 5, 2006 and earlier. NSC no longer does I-129F filings so their update is worthless information. We have not yet received a RFE. Follow up with me early next week for an update. Try and have a good weekend..."

my question was
"I have noticed that Califorina has updated there I-129f to Feb 15th and
Nebraska has moved theres to May 29th. It is bull on the USCIS's part if they are going to
process people that applied after me because they screwed up. Can you shed
any light on this?
Also I have understood that RFE's will be sent out some time this week for
those that did not conform with IMBRA."
huh.gif huh.gif

This situation is wacko.gif and makes you want to crying.gif .

But CA's processing times say February 15 and I know we can't really trust them - but where does your lawyer get March 6? I mean it makes sense, just have no idea who to believe.

The minute someone gets the RFE being sent email PLEASE post it - I'm losing hope.
vartan
I understand your frustration .. I know I spoke with a lawyer prior to doing my I-129f (actually filed everything myself though without a lawyer) And said I should be able to get a response quick because they do it by petitioners location and country .. And Since there are not many petitions in Colorado to start (comparetively) and my fiance is from Taiwan that it should be put speedy.. But unfortunatly now.. you know Californias Service center would get way more petitions then the Nebraska one we are put in the boat with everyone else. No offense to the people in California and the west coast, it is just more populated there so just like traffic you have to wait in line.. Ohh well .. I want everyone to get their paperwork processed just as quickly as the others then we could have a giant party and celebrate our happiness.. haha.

I talked to him a few minutes ago about that. He said that they have received paperwork from CSC pertaining to people who had paperwork in just prior to March 6. So he feels that have completed some of the people that are in the Feb 15th to March 6th time frame. He thinks that the CSC just has not updated the site yet because not all of them are complete. And that they will jump to the March 6th date next to VSC soon.
(but well we are talking about someones opinion) I know what you mean by loseing hope. I think a lot of people are. I know we can not to that, not matter how much the USCIS messes with us. Because if we lose hope and let them take that hope from us. Then they have that much more on us than they had before.
I know it is easy to say chin up and we will all make it thru this. But the the truth is we are all on the edge of our chairs wanting to know day by day progress. Best i can say is keep the hope. that is what we all are here for. to support each other.

I just can not understand why they did not send half of the ones from NSC to VSC. That would have made sense. Oh wait we are talking about the USCIS. they make no sense.

kitkat1
Have other CSC people been touched today, June 23? This is my first touch since last week this may give me hope that the RFEs are actually being generated . . . just waiting for the email.

Then again, it could be because I've emailed them quite a bit . .
jen&darcy
I haven't been touched yet today. I tend to get mine late in the day for whatever reason.
JenT
Not touched recently sad.gif
vartan
No touch since the 17th .. But I submitted mine later then most of you guys sending it out May 1. I was going to send it early april when I was in Taiwan visiting my Fiance but I read somewhere that it was bad to send it from another country.. not sure if that was true or not.
JoePaddock
No touch today
YnaYeBa0808
still waiting for my touch ... last one was in march... sad.gif
YnaYeBa0808
maybe this afternoon? sighhhhhhh
illumine
No touch.

I get so frustrated with VSC. No offense Vermonters. I'm not whining, just very very frustrated & sad. Why move all of NSC to CSC & not VSC? They are so damn fast already.

huh.gif
mallett_sj
This really is starting to become depressing. The only thing thats keeping me going right now is knowing that this time next week im going to be with my love. Other than that im really pissed off and frustrated....I'm happy for the Vermont group but it's almost a slap in the face seeing people who sent there apps. in at the end of May and are already recieving RFE's...good luck Vermont we'll see you whenever Cali gets off there lazy butts. I don't know about you guys but i was really looking forward to today getting an RFE E-mail. Oh well such is life...Take with a grain of salt and comfort the ones we miss and love and tell them you'll be home soon. crying.gif

Not that it matters now but I can't imagine that it matters where your package is sent from - I fed exed ours from mexico since I was there on vacation and fnished everything when I was there. Too bad we didn't send it the first week of my vacation instead of the last week . . . then we wouldn't be in IMBRA/transferred to the slowest service on the planet Hell
VSSKS
Hi mallett_sj,

I am in the similar situation. Filed in early April. No touches since 4/24/06. I am also visiting India next week. So I will be with my fiance for 3 weeks. I have a feeling that while I am gone, RFE will come and sit. And I will have to deal with the delay, because I will not be able to sign/date and send back immediately. Life is tough. Had I known fiance visa will get into such situation, I would have married and done CR1. That is slow but probably would have taken as long as K1 with CSC. Our govt has really messed up our lives and passed on tremendous stress. I am depressed for almost 3 months now.

Have a great trip!
mallett_sj
kitkat when did you get touched today you know?

I obsessively check the USCIS online site. Today, in the morning, I saw the last update changed to June 23. That's how I know. But I have sent several emails and contacted both senators in an effort to get some straight answers - so the touch could simply be them looking at my case and providing more bullsh*t to the senators - who knows?

burralow
my last touch was 6/17 too. and we heard all this stuff that CSC was sending out the RFE's already and that we would have them by friday or they would send them on friday or something. And still nothing, meanwhile VSC has sent them and had them returned. why cant CSC hurry up? honestly!
JenT
The following is complete and total speculation, but I wonder....

... with all of the cases having been transferred, and how much publicity has been generated, I'll bet they are compiling/assembling all of the RFEs to do one mass mailing. How many of the 10,000 now reside at CSC? Who knows.

Otherwise, think of the phone calls... "they got theirs, where's mine?" sort of thing.

Internal solidarity??

Doesn't help those of us who are waiting, but at least Vermont is seeing activity.... surely we will follow soon. Keep your hopes up everyone!

Jen

Edited because I really should use this spell-check feature...

I think that they gave the 30 day time frame for 1 week to send out and other time for it to reach the petitioner by post..

The only conclusion I can come to is that maybe they are actually doing things now in order of NOA1 date since we mailed our petitions the same week? Once other people start getting touched again, maybe we can figure something out . . .

Hey Gang,

Pardon my ignorance ... I'm "new" to this ... but what does it mean when your case is "touched"? I know that I can check my case online by typing in my case number. Is this "touched" thing somethine I'm not aware of ... or am I missing something on the screen?

A touch means that someone has worked on your case. The date on your case will change, but the message contained therein will not. Its basically a sign of some sort of progress, but nothing to warrant a new status message.
cdngrl
Wow ... that was quick! OK .. I just realized that I also have to register ... as oppose to just typing in my case number without registering (which shows no date but just that the CSC recieved it on June 14th). Thank you!

I'm trying to be optimistic also. Somone was kind enough to scan and post the RFE they received. What I found promising was that it stated once the RFE is received back by USCIS we need to allow them 14 days to process. (They also put their usual disclaimer about not contacting for 60 days but I'm holding on to the 14 days bit!)

I'm desparate to find some positive in all this. Am I dreaming?!!
onesassygirl
I haven't been touched since May 1 :-(
